  Advertised as smoke-free, but not if you have a room with a balcony.

  We stayed here for four nights, and our first two nights were perfect. Sadly, during the last two nights, we were hit with a strong smell of smoke from our neighbor, and it wasn’t the usual cigarette smell either. If you are considering staying here, I would choose a room without a balcony. That way, you avoid the risk of being bothered by smoke, or getting a room that will probably smell like smoke in a few years! Some staff members were more service-minded than others, but they might have been new, as the hotel had only been open for three weeks when we visited.Minus:As a VIP member, I received no welcome card or amenities in my room. The breakfast room has some pretty tight spaces, mostly due to the chairs having very wide legs, but it somehow works, and everything is logically set up even when it gets crowded. It is not a smoke-free hotel if you have a room with a balcony, so you might have to keep your balcony door closed due to the smell of cigarettes and other substances. There were no mocktails available in the lobby bar. In both of our rooms, the bedroom mirrors should have been cleaned better as they had marks on them. Furthermore, the door handle in my room was about to fall off, and the napkin holder on the bathroom wall in both rooms had to be taped because it was just glued to the wall. To me, the beds do not live up to the usual Radisson quality; it was so soft that I had to put a pillow under my lower back to get comfortable. Lastly, the reception seemed a bit understaffed from time to time.Plus:The scented soaps in the room were great, and there was an empty, cold minibar available. Coffee and tea were restocked every day. The service regarding a birthday gift for my friend was exceptional, and the best we have experienced in Oslo so far. The hotel also has a great location, a good breakfast, and fluffy pillows. Additionally, they handed out fans and slushies in the reception during the heatwave. There were some booking issues but they resolved it very nicely.   Good hotel, great location, poor staff service

  Overall the hotel is quite good. The location is just perfect (city center with easy connection to other parts of the city - tram, metro, buses). Within walking distance from the port and most museums. The hotel itself is clean, modern and comfortable. The room was ok. There were some details that should be improved (in this standard level). No water or even refillable bottle, air conditioning not working properly (quite hot), bathroom light switch situated by the room exit door. Pillows could be more comfortable and massive. As a premium Radisson Rewards member I was expecting some benefits, but instead I met quite rude receptionist, no offer connected with my status. The only things I am absolutely satisfied with is the breakfast - quite good choice, very tasty. In total - good hotel, perfect location, with some improvements needed in terms of the staff and service.   Made reservations through booking.comRadisson Red was in the perfect location for us - 10 min to the Opera House, 10 min to the Palace, 5 min to Karl Johan St, 5 min to the Fort - great for walking in any direction. Check in and breakfast staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Room was comfortable for 3 adults - we had no issues.We loved the decor of the lobby/reception/bar area. It was loaded with coffee table books - a great reason to visit outside of our room. We tried the gym (adequate for a city hotel but who's going to stay inside when you can go walking/running outside?) and enjoyed the buffet breakfast - large enough selection to satisfy our party of 3.Front desk offered a late room check out when we asked to use the luggage room.Very much appreciated being able to do that!Nitpicking now as there really wasn't anything to improve - we found the trash bin inefficient. One of those bins that's separated into thirds - paper, waste and ? (sorry, can't remember the third) but too small to be off any use.   I had a great stay at the Radisson Red Oslo City Center. The location is excellent – very central and within easy walking distance of the train station, which made getting around extremely convenient.The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, always ready to help with any questions. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything I needed for a pleasant visit.Overall, a very good hotel that I would definitely choose again for a next trip to Oslo.   Stayed at this hotel in March 2026. The hotel is very well located in the city center, close to shops and restaurants. The central station is also in walking distance. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and modern. I had a breakfast at the hotel and it was great. I highly recommend this hotel.
