A very comfortable and relatively inexpensive for Oslo hotel in a nice quiet residential area of Oslo. Very good breakfast; wide range of good breads, fruits, Did not explore cooked food available Very friendly staff

Saga apt. Saga Hotels alternative in Holmboes gt.150m away!

Its very convenient to stay at the apt in holmboes street, just two blocks away from The Saga Hotel. You check in at the hotel. We had a nice apt with balcony on the4th floor. It's a small kitchen, with a cooktop, small fridge and dishwasher. Also a Nespresso machine, and some different capsules ready on the bench. It's a hairdryer at the small but fresh bathroom. Good shower! Small sofa, which can turn into a bed. Two flat screens! One for the sofa wievers, and one at the end of the very comfortable king size bed! Modern and delicate place! Small automatic "kiosk" just inside the front door. Elevator. Ask for a late check out ! We were lucky to stay until 14 o'clock :)

We have just stayed for three nights in this wonderful hotel in their superior room, which was well worth it. Nice modern room with coffee and tea making facility. Breakfast excellent with wide choice. Staff very helpful. Will stay here again. Only criticism is limited channels on TV for modern hotel. No CNN nor Euronews

No laundry service. Literally no: they advice you go to self-service laundry round the corner.No safe box in the room.Poor breakfast (no yoghurt, one type of local grey bread, poor selection of cheeses and cold cuts)Location: rather far from center and located on the hill.Rooms on top (4th) floor are mansarda type: small with two roof windows looking at grey oslo skies).On the good side: looks very new, all furniture and appliances modern and new ( sink was broken though). Free internet. Free parking (often with no spaces left)Definitely not worth its price. Choose something else.

This is a no-frills B&B which has a great location-walking distance to the Palace, City Center & Oslo Harbor, but they insisted on paying the entire stay up front. After a night with my wife & I on the 3rd floor & the kids on the ground floor listening to the late-night deals happening in the parking lot, we were ready to move on. Saga management however would not refund the payment that we made up front for the nights that we didn't spend there. We're now fighting this using our credit card hassle.This experience with the Saga was a blemish on an otherwise spectacular trip to Norway!
