    Excellent value and a good location, freindly and informative staff. Close to an excellent bakery and a lively local hotspot.

    While I don't fault them for the lack of room cleaning as the hotels were on strike while we were there, I do fault them for keeping the room at a miserable temperature and locking the thermostat so that we could not cool it off at all, causing some of the worst sleep I've had in a long time, waking up sweating throughout the night. They eventually let us borrow a fan which helped. The windows did open but there was no screen so then it was bugs or heat. The beds also only came with a very hot blanket so you were forced to lay there with no cover or become overheated easily. The breakfast was fine, I don't know how much more it would be when hotel staff is back at full capacity, but at the very least there was coffee which was good. Overall, not impressed, wouldn't return.

    I was worried having read some of the reviews prior to staying but luckily everything was great. We had a room on the top floor which was cosy and clean. There isn’t a lot of storage but we were only there for one night. The beds were so comfy. The bathroom was fine but the shower leaked no matter which direction you put the shower head.Location was great and everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was great with lots of choice. A great base to explore the city.

    I wouldn’t stay here again because the design of the hotel is really poor, but it is in a really good location and for our two night stay it wasn’t worth moving. We found the hotel clean and our interactions with staff were good.As another guest described, the 2nd floor ‘room’ we had was more like a boat cabin. The window curtain opened up to reveal views of the diners in the restaurant next door and of course their view was directly into our room. Whoever thought that was a good idea for a hotel needs to go back to architecture school.The heating was impossible to adjust and the cooking smells that permeated the room early every morning made me feel nauseous.
