    Skiing trip with Crystalskl

    rating29 Mar 2026

We found the hotel a great place to stay with good access and facilities. The buffet food in the Hill we found wasn't hot enough. Good quality food and excellent breakfast and salad. But could have been hotter. The TV kept freezing and was quite annoying. Pool was great, ski room excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Marianne Vestad, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil, responded to this review Dear Paul.Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you found the hotel a great place to stay, with good access and facilities. It’s also wonderful to know that you enjoyed the pool, ski room, and that our staff were friendly and helpful throughout your stay.At the same time, we’re sorry to hear that the buffet food at Hill was not hot enough. We’re pleased that you found the quality to be good, but we understand how important temperature is to the overall dining experience, and we will follow this up with our kitchen team.We also apologize for the issues with the TV freezing. We understand how frustrating that can be and will have our technical team look into this to prevent it from happening again.Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to welcome you back for an even better experience.Kind regards,Marianne

    warm and quiet

    rating27 Feb 2026

Lovely place to sit in the quiet away from the horrendous noise from Major construction works at Trysil Alpine Lodge. It is a 2 year building site, so avoid. Marianne Vestad, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil, responded to this review Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found our place to be a lovely and quiet spot to relax. We understand that construction work in the area can sometimes cause inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We hope to welcome you back again for another peaceful visit.Kind Regards, Marianne

They through you out of restaurant as soon as breakfast buffet closes (10.30) 👎🏻

    rating25 Feb 2026

Very disappointed about not customer oriented Service in Restaurant and Menager Christina ! Breakfast closes at 10.30 and they come to your table at 10.35 and ask you to leave because they want to clean 😳 never experienced this in any other hotel!!!And the Menager only offers you to continue eating in the lobby 😳😳This happened to several guests They repeated the same procedure day after day even though we said that this is not right. We came here every year for skiing BUT NEVER AGAIN 👎🏻😕😕😕 Marianne Vestad, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil, responded to this review Hi,Thank you for your feedback. I’m really sorry if you experienced the situation in Hill Restaurant as being asked to leave the restaurant. That was certainly not our intention. It seems that the communication may unfortunately have been misunderstood from both sides. We always try to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for our guests, and I`m sorry if this situation left you with a different impression. It’s sad to read that this experience means you will not return to us, especially since you have visited us for skiing in previous years. Aside from this situation, I sincerely hope you had a lovely stay with us and in Trysil.Kind regards,Marianne

Great place but I have been deceived on parking

    rating25 Feb 2026

This is a great hotel with lovely facilities, food and great skiing. No complaints. I have been left with a very sour taste in my mouth due to parking charges. They run their parking through a Europe wide scam company called “one park”. There are a number of car parks at the resort, an outside area in front of the hotel, a covered underground garage and a concrete covered parking area opposite the hotel. At check-in for my week stay I was told to “park anywhere” and pay on a website at the end. For the first two days I parked outside, I then moved the car to the covered area as there was heavy snowfall. It turns out these are separate car parks with separate fees. I went to pay at the end of my stay and one park have said I didn’t pay for the first car park within 48 hours so they have added an admin fee and invoiced my hire company who will add another admin fee. This feels like a massive scam. I am shocked a brand like Radisson are operating such a system Marianne Vestad, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil, responded to this review Hi,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the hotel, the facilities, the food, and the skiing during your stay with us.At the same time, we are truly sorry to hear about your parking experience and understand how frustrating this situation must have felt. We sincerely apologize if the information provided at check-in was not clear enough regarding the different parking areas and payment procedures. This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have.Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will share it with our team to ensure that we communicate the parking options and payment rules more clearly to future guests. We hope that despite this experience, you will consider visiting us again in the future.Kind Regards, Marianne

Half term week in Trysil Norway

    rating21 Feb 2026

Trysil is a brilliant resort for families and for beginners and intermediary skiers. Perfect for us with tweens who know the basics. It is just over 2 hours from Oslo and easy to drive even in extremes of weather as the roads are well maintained (and no potholes). This meant we spend a night walking around the capital, which was an added bonus. Trysil had some nice places to eat and the ski hire places are easy to find and efficient. Yes - the beer / alcohol is expensive, but not extortionate and no different than other European holiday locations. The resort was busy but not France/Austria busy considering it was half term - the longest we waited for a lift was 10-15 minutes and that was only occasionally. It does get cold…. -20 degrees on some days on the mountain so wrap up warm! The snow does not ever melt and freeze so the conditions were amazing all week! The hotel is well located and is ‘ski in ski out’. Underground parking. Warm(!). Clean. Easy check in but could not check in early. Good facilities for families including pool, bowling alley (extra payment), and game room (extra payment). Staff were friendly and helpful. The Brassiere was a great place to celebrate a birthday (not included in the Half board). A few issues: buffet food is ok - not great selections. Loved the desserts though(!). Book early, even the buffet - maybe even before you go at busy time. We chose one of the Prestige apartments as we had two families staying together and wanted a communal space. However, we didn’t realise that it wouldn’t be cleaned daily - well it wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. Standard furnishings - again not what we would be used to at the Radisson but appreciate that the apartments are not owned by the hotel. We were not guaranteed a ski locker, which was a pain. The gym was an afterthought and small. The resort has limited instructors, so we weren’t able to secure one (left it late) - this was actually a blessing as the tweens learnt quickly and advanced. We would go back to Norway to avoid the mainland half term queues, but probably not to this hotel. Marianne Vestad, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil, responded to this review Hi,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed Trysil, our ski in / ski out location, and found our team friendly and helpful. It’s also lovely to know you chose the Brasserie to celebrate a special occasion! At the same time, we truly appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the buffet, apartment cleaning, ski lockers, and gym facilities. Your comments are important to us and will be followed up internally. We’re sorry we didn’t fully meet your expectations on this occasion, but we’re grateful for your honest feedback and hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.Kind Regards, Marianne
