    We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect for families.     A Tale of Two Stays

    I stayed at this hotel, first for two nights and then after travelling to Salalah for a few nights, returned for a 6 night stay.The hotel is lovely, beautiful reception area and public areas as well as pool area. The rooms (some) are lovely and large as is the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. The majority of the staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you.If this review was based on my first stay, it would be a 5 star plus rating! It was the perfect hotel stay. Unfortunately my second stay was less than perfect!On check-in, which was smooth, I was taken to my room. It felt like half the size of the room of my first stay and had booked the same category for both stays. I went to reception to complain and I was moved to the same sized room I previously had. I unpacked and then turned on the television. It did not work and maintenance was sent to fix it. They could not so I was moved again. Lovely room until I wanted to go to sleep! The music from the pool which also has a bar blasted into my room! I could not sleep and it only went off after midnight. The next morning I complained to reception and the lady on reception was dismissive and told me if I had a problem that night, to call and it would be sorted. Well lo and behold I did have the problem, called and nothing happened. This was a daily repeat! My second last night o had enough and threatened to call the police myself if the music was not turned down. The next morning for the first time there was a different lady on reception and I asked to see the manager. The manager was extremely apologetic and wanted to move my room. As it was the last night I really did not feel like packing up. The hotel did offer us a free dinner that night. If I had been moved on the second day, my stay probably would have been perfect, but unfortunately I had 5 very bad nights of sleep!The breakfast was very good at the Almuzen Restaurant and a very big shout out to young Gourhari who made our morning every day with his big smile and great service.
