A Comfortable Hotel
11 Feb 2026
Stayed here for two nights on our tour of Oman. Imposing reception area with rooms set in large courtyards. Our room was large and very comfortable and the WiFi was excellent. All staff were polite and professional and the choice of food at the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Well kept gardens around the hotel. Super luxury hotel with large open air pool
10 Feb 2026
The Golden Tulip is a spectacular and beautiful hotel located about a twenty minute drive from Nizwa itself. Built around a large courtyard with a 20 metre swimming pool. Our room, 114, like most others had a ground floor balcony with a couple of chairs and a table from where you could walk straight out to the swimming pool area with many sun lounges. The hotel itself is beautiful with a very attractive reception area and the bedrooms are enormous. Equipped with a large double bed a desk for working, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, wardrobe hanging space, an ironing board and hair dryer, and even a bathroom with a shower and a bath. However, there was never enough hot water to fill the bath or sometimes even for a shower! We paid £130 a night and stayed three nights. This was for bedroom only. Breakfasts were about £12 per person. One night we ate outside by the pool with a lovely BBQ. The cost for two of us including a carafe of wine came to £66. We found the staff welcoming and helpful, although we felt the room cleaning was a little perfunctory (bed was made up, bin was emptied but the pillows were not put back onto the bed!). Nevertheless, a gorgeous luxury hotel. Golden Tulip Nizwa asstsales, at Golden Tulip Nizwa, responded to this review Dear Rick,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay at Golden Tulip Nizwa. We are truly pleased to know that you enjoyed the beauty of the hotel, the spacious room, the poolside atmosphere, and the BBQ experience. Your kind words about our welcoming team mean a lot to us.At the same time, we sincerely regret the inconvenience you experienced with the hot water and the room cleaning. This is certainly not the level of comfort and attention to detail we aim to provide. Your feedback has been shared with our engineering and housekeeping teams so that we can review and improve these areas to ensure a better experience for our guests. We truly appreciate your balanced and thoughtful feedback. It helps us continue to enhance our services and standards. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide an even more enjoyable stay.Best regards,Golden Tulip Nizwa Management Team.

Peaceful Oasis , very relaxing
07 Feb 2026
This hotel is a beautiful oasis. It's so quiet and relaxing . Everything is very clean and well maintained. The inside is comfortable and very traditional. ALL the staff are so kind , friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Hassan who took care of our room and nothing was any trouble . I felt really looked after. Swaran at the bar was great we felt like being at home......the food by the way is sooooo good everything on the bar menu is delicious as was breakfast so a huge applause for the chefs. Ismael at the pool bar was just as accommodating and even when busy nothing was too much trouble. The Waitresses were amazing and so efficient. Every evening there is a BBQ buffet we didn't eat there as we were happy in the bar, but it was full every single night.People seem to arrive and leave after 1 or 2 nights but it never felt overwhelming with coming and going. All very calm and seamless. My husband stays there every time he is working in the area sometimes for a few weeks or a few days. This was my first visit and I look foward to returning.
