Good Location, but Several Areas Need Improvement

I stayed at Salalah Gardens Hotel during my solo trip to Salalah. The hotel has a very convenient location connected to Salalah Gardens Mall, which makes restaurants, shopping and other services easily accessible.Unfortunately, my overall experience did not match what I expected from a 4-star hotel. One of my biggest issues was the quality of sleep. I expected the third floor to provide a quiet atmosphere, but there was noticeable noise coming from the mall area and the hallway, which affected my ability to rest comfortably.There were also some issues with the service. On one occasion, I was unhappy with the way I was treated by a staff member, and communication through the Booking.com chat could have been more professional and helpful. The reception also did not always respond promptly when I tried to contact them by phone.My airport transportation was another area that could be improved. The driver arrived slightly late, and after dropping me at the airport, his manner was not particularly courteous when he told me to close the vehicle door.That said, I would like to recognize the staff members who made a positive difference during my stay. Irfan at the pool was friendly and helpful, and Shahadat, who assisted me with my luggage, also provided good service.The hotel has considerable potential because of its excellent location and facilities, but management should focus more on staff professionalism, communication, transportation service and providing a quieter environment for guests.Despite the hotel’s strong overall ratings online—currently around 4.7/5 on TripAdvisor—my personal experience was mixed, and I hope management takes this feedback constructively. Very delicious food and location. We had kofta, chicken liver, hot potato, hummus with meat, vine leaves, butter chicken, and tabbouleh.
