  I stayed here at the start of my tour of central America. It is a good hotel. Well located. Near a metro station. Very good room with lots of amenities. Good gym. Good breakfasts.

  Turned away with pre-paid reservation, no refund offered

  We had a pre-paid reservation at this hotel for one night, before our flight out in the morning. When we arrived, we were told that there was a problem with our room and they were providing transportation to an alternate property. OK fine, these things happen sometimes, and the staff was apologetic and professional. They sent us to their restaurant to get a bite to eat while they sorted everything out (they didn't pay for our meal, just told us to go there and eat). Then when we went back to the desk, they told us how much the room would cost at the other hotel - um, no, we pre-paid for this room, so why are we paying again for another room? After a few calls, they said everything was worked out and we wouldn't have to pay for the other room. They also assured us that this other hotel was comparable and had all the same amenities. This was not true. We got to the other hotel and they wanted us to pay for the room. Another flurry of phone calls until that was straightened out. This hotel did not have a rooftop terrace or a pool, and had some maintenance issues. The rates at this hotel were about $30 cheaper than the room we had reserved and paid for at the BW Zen. So now I'm trying to get at least a partial refund of the amount we paid in advance and the cost of the room that we got. The hotel has only offered an apology and a "hope to see you again soon". I'm really disappointed in the hotel itself, Best Western Plus in general, and Expedia who we booked through - they're all pointing fingers at each other instead of any of them stepping up for our relatively small refund request.

  Location was great for walking to restaurants! Rooms were clean. Could have used a fridge. Loved roof top pool and bar.

  Just came back from a 7 day trip with my family from Panama. Hotel was great, clean,comfortable, staff was always friendly and helpful. Location is perfect close to lots of shops, restaurants and play ground. Metro was walking distance of around 8 minutes. We were even given breakfast bags to leave on our last morning cause we had an early flight which was a plus for us and we really appreciated it. We also had a great room view which we loved. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would be staying there again once I visit Panama again. Panama is lovely by the way the people are really friendly and helpful.

  Nice and Confortable Hotel

  The hotel service is excellent, the staff are kind. However, it's not a hotel dedicated to tourism, but rather to business trips. I say this because when I asked for tourist information, I didn't receive much guidance (I was in Panama City on a holiday - Separation Day (November 3rd), many streets were closed, many attractions were shut down, etc.). When I inquired about the ease of requesting a taxi to the airport early in the morning, I was advised that it would be better to book an Uber. But on the day of departure, there was a taxi at the hotel door offering rides. I don't know if this is common, but that's what happened. Furthermore, I arrived before check-in time, the room was already available, and yet I was charged for early check-in. I understand the practice, but it would have been nice to have this courtesy, especially in my case as I was checking out well before the scheduled time (one thing would have compensated for the other). Otherwise, the accommodations are comfortable and clean. The hotel is well located, the common areas are great, and the staff are very attentive.
