    A charming hotel..staff very accomodation with our requests..breakfast good..it's in a great location to everything around cusco. Our room was a good size..doesn't have a lift but staff were happy to bring our bags up..also nice and quiet

    In general very good. Except for few small details.Telephone line didn't work to call reception. But it was an outside problem, out of their control.

    Genuinely a terrible hotel.1) the hotel constantly smells of horrible cooking smells. 2) the breakfast is inedible.3) the hotel staff are rude and impolite. 4) the front door is always locked and you have to be let in but the staff are often not on reception leaving you standing outside waiting to be let in - you don’t have a key. 5) the toilets say they have been sanitised before you arrive but there was fecal matter in the bottom of my toilet when I arrived so clearly not the case. 6) their website advertises 24 cafe which is not the case. You can’t even buy a bottle of water at 10pm without paying in cash because the water is owned by the employees and not the hotel(!) and there is no access to free drinking water. I had to wander out on my own (female solo traveller) at 10:30 at night to get cash for more water. 7) the rooms are tiny.

    Three stars given for the positives: Excellent location , walking distance to everything. Comfortable bed. Excellent hot water and water pressure . Economical price. This is a 2 star hotel however , so just be prepared for a few hassles. It is very loud for sleeping , bring ear plugs. All the rooms surround an open courtyard so every door opening sounds like a gun shot . The included breakfast is hardly enough to feed a small child. (If you want an actual breakfast you have to pay extra.) the building is very cold and dark all the time , the lights are literally never on. And the front door is always locked at all times of the day so you have to ring a loud bell (which of course can be heard by all the rooms ) . The staff was overall friendly and helpful, some much more so than others. I asked for a glass of water , looking at pitchers of water in the kitchen area, and after arguing with me about having to buy a bottle the older manager lady poured me a small glass. And then that night I asked the night guy for a glass of water before bed and his manager made a point to tell the staff not to give me a glass of water. I understand water costs money but this seemed over the top and the very opposite of hospitality. That combined with the attitude they gave me left a very bad taste in my mouth for this hotel. Maybe spend a few bucks more and get a better experience elsewhere

    Stayed at this hotel as part of an Intrepid tour. This hotel is great, close to everything you want to see and easy to get around. Next to Santo Domingo and easy walk to Plaza de Armas and has restaurants nearby. Beds were comfy, Breakfast was great, clean hotel, overall, highly recommended.
