    Great staff and location!

    Staff a location was great - would be 5/5 for this! 3/5 due to the noise levels - could hear each time someone buzzed in the gate, walked to their room as well as to breakfast. There was also no power one morning we stayed. We had also requested a taxi pick up from the airport which did not turn up.

    This hotel is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a triple room and it was huge!!!!! The bed was so comfy that I wanted to take it home.It’s only a small hotel with a handful of rooms and that made it feel more special. The breakfast was served on the top floor and it was always fresh with the best scrambled eggs cooked to order.I recommend this to anyone travelling to Cusco, the only downside is it’s at the top of some steps which due to the altitude make it a hard slog but totally worth it.

    Checked in 20mins after booking on booking.com, as found black mold in previous booking(Hotel Montecristo). Auka turned it around quickly. Auka by comparison was clean, well maintained, warm, amazing staff, much better breakfast (Both choice and view). We loved it so much we booked to stay after our Macchu Pichu trek as well. They were brilliant with looking after our luggage. They made us a packed breakfast as we had an early flight to catch. We even met a fellow unhappy guest from Montecristo who had also checked into Auka Boutique San Blas at the last minute and seemed happy with it.

    This hotel is very nice and the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. Very quaint but nice. Small lobby, but very spacious rooms. The room had 2 double beds, an elegant table and 2 chairs. However, it had a somewhat odd setup with walk up/in bath/shower connected to main area but a separate toilet/wash basin room for privacy. Tea and electric water pot, mini fridge, and safe were also in the room. Simple local buffet breakfast with made to order eggs was served daily. The host even offered to make up a boxed breakfast if we needed to leave early. Coffee, tea, juice and espresso drinks were available as well. Breakfast was on the upper level offer beautiful views of the city. The hotel offered complementary oxygen, and laundry service and massage for a charge. There was a nice outdoor courtyard area to sit, if desired. The only drawback was having to walk stairs to get to the entrance (hence the oxygen, (lol).) I’d still recommend for a stay in Cusco city.

    Lovely small hotel in amazing location

    We really enjoyed our two nights here. It's a smaller hotel with rooms that seem newly renovated, with lovely tiled bathrooms, tubs, very comfy beds and custom headboards. Very secure seeming behind a locked courtyard entrance, though doesn't seem necessary as the neighborhood feels very safe and quiet. The location is great, very cute friendly homey neighborhood walking distance to squares, sacsayhuaman, and the qorikancha. Not as touristy and much easier to shop and browse without the crowds. Family who runs it is very friendly and helpful. Remember to ask them to turn on the hot water if your tap doesn't get warm in a couple mins after you turn it on. Breakfast is served in a lovely top floor room with great views. An amazing value also.
