    My GF and I stayed here 5 nights and loved it. Great location and super friendly staff. We 100% recommend staying here. The staff went above and beyond to organize a taxi from the airport, make us packed lunches for and early morning departure, and felt safe and comfortable for our entire stay. Great breakfast with a different amazing, fresh juice option every day. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and far enough away from the main square to get some quiet, easy sleep.

    We had a wonderful stay at Illa Hotel in Cusco! The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were very clean, with daily housekeeping and thoughtful touches that made our stay comfortable.There was heating in the room, which was much appreciated during the chilly Cusco nights. We also felt very safe throughout our stay, both in the hotel and the surrounding area.The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk to Plaza San Blas and about 10 minutes to Plaza de Armas. It was the perfect home base for exploring the city.Highly recommend Illa Hotel for anyone looking for a clean, safe, and well-located place to stay in Cusco!

    My favorite place during my trip to Peru

    This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Peru. Illa Hotel, located in the artsy San Blas district, is a former colonial style house with a small garden square inside. They had the best breakfast with made to order eggs, 2 kinds of yogurt with various toppings, deli meats, cheese, fresh veggies, olives, sometimes fresh fruits, the best French style bread which was crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside, milk, juice, coffee and tea. The lobby and 2nd floor of the 5 story building in back had tea and coffee service available all day. It is a hike to get to the hotel from the Plaza de Armas as it was located on top of a hill.My 1st room was located on the backside of the 2-story building. Room 105 was a bit dark since I didn't want to open the curtains as it was on the ground floor. I couldn’t figure out the tankless hot water machine for the shower. The soap/shampoo in the shower was very nice. My 2nd room was in the back 5-story building on the top floor which had an awesome view of the town and was a third bigger than the room I got the first time. The hot water shower machine worked. There is a hairdryer available. There are only stairs so if you have problems walking up these ask for a lower level room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The wifi worked well. There is a little showcase near the front door in case you need to get a gift. Prices were the same as the vendors in the nearby shops and you don't need to haggle. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.

    Convenient Boutique Hotel between San Blas and Cathedral de Cusco

    This family run boutique hotel off San Blas plaza is a mixture of first rate service and bed and breakfast. The staff are very helpful and willing to arrange transportation throughout the city. Even when you've wondered in the wrong direction and need some one to pick you up. Along with their daily continental breakfast, for all those early morning tours they offer packed breakfast.Located in the San Blas neighborhood, this a beautiful area with many galleries and shops just off the main tourists area with the San Blas market a short walk away.A few blocks the other direction is the Cathedral de Cusco and main square. There are many great shops and places to eat near by such as Nuna Ramyi, Chia, Pachapapa and Chakruna.Know that this hotel along with others in the area are located in the historical district with limited vehicle access so plan pick ups and tours accordingly. The hotel staff was especially helpful with this, so let them arrange pick up and drop off to the hotel as mostly only cars can access the street. Because of this I highly recommend hotel transfer be arranged through the hotel. If on arrival your driver isn't there to pick you up, contact the hotel and they will take care of you.
