    A Hotel W/O an Attitude

    A charming hotel located just above the City Centre of Cusco. Room is clean, massive tub w/ shower, and very, very hot water. Had a double queen bed room, spacious with large bath, on fourth floor. Below, on main floor is an open air dining area (breakfast is served here as well). The breakfast is one of the nicest, with fresh juices, breads, cheeses, salami, fruit, flan, tasty coffee with eggs to order. Our waiter, Yonatan, also served us the night before for dinner, and checked out at front reception desk. A very attentive, cheerful and efficient member of the staff. Ask him a question, and he will take the time to respond w/ an answer.After checking out, realized there were a couple items we left in clothes cabinet, returned to hotel and Luis and Judith quickly, in a heart beat, tracked down the items and returned to me…….(thanks to both of you).All in all, a positive and memorable experience. :)

    Good lodging for travelers in good shape

    The hotel has a great lobby with all kinds of colorful local artifacts. The staff is very helpful with luggage and accommodation. It is a challenging place for anyone who has difficult walking. There are no elevators in the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by hilly streets with cobblestone sidewalks. Access to restaurants on foot is a steep 10 -15 minute walk. The room was good size and the bed was very comfortable.

    Bad taste decoration, pretending to be trendy but badly terminated. Stinky bathroom. Bad matress. No heating possibility. Airport noise in the early morning as it is at the side of the airport. Breakfast with some view but terribly bad.

    Cheap rooms but need maintenance

    The hotel was really nice at first glance. We checked in late, there was a security guy outside. They lock the doors at certain times for safety reasons. The room was spacious with a giant TV. We only stayed one night because we had a flight to Lima in the AM. Biggest complaint was that in the morning when I opened the glass door to the shower, it fell off its hinge and almost took my feet off. Luckily I was far away enough that it missed my toes. I went down to tell the people at the front desk, he came up and saw it. Didn’t really say or do anything about. Told him we needed to shower because we have to leave in an hour to catch our flight. He told us we could just shower without the doors and the water on the floor was ok. Kind of disappointing. Room still cost us $50.

    Hotel is a unique space with some grandeur in the main hall filled with paintings befitting its name. The room was clean and fine. No frills. Power outlets were few and inconvenient to access. Staff was very helpful but said we needed to pay $25 for an extra person even though the room was reserved with the correct number of people through Booking.com. I can’t say where the mistake was made, but I didn’t appreciate the sudden fee.
