    They are great!

Amazing experience! Really nice and helpful stuff. I’ve forgotten my sun glasses at the bar before checking out, few hours later I’ve realized that and called the hotel. They found my glasses and returned them to me. Rooms are clean and spacious. Food is good, location is great as you are at the walking distance from every site you wanna see here. I highly recommend the place and will return here.

A Great Stay at Terra Andina Colonial Mansion

    rating14 Oct 2025

We stayed at the Terra Andina for 2 nights and really enjoyed it! The hotel is well located within walking distance to the main tourist sights in the Old Center of town. We had originally been assigned a room outside of the breakfast room. It was fine with a very modern but small bathroom. However, after returning from a walk around town, it had a strong smell of sewage. We contacted the front desk about it and they quickly relocated us to another room. This one was larger with a very nice, large and modern bathroom. with plenty of hot water and good strong water pressure in the shower. We really appreciated the quick response from management. The breakfast in this hotel is very good and they will make you an omelet or eggs any way your prefer. This hotel is very busy with tour groups but was always quiet at night and we slept well here. The employees were also polite and helpful. We would stay at this hotel again while in Cusco.

Breath of fresh air in Cusco-great great place

    rating24 Jun 2025

This place is amazing. I don’t get some of the reviews on this place. One of the reviews mentioned the fact that the rooms have windows that face towards an interior courtyard. I mean, this is a restored mansion and that’s how those houses were made. I had absolutely no problem with it. The rooms are spacious, clean and luxurious. Another review mentioned something about the outlets lol I did not have any problems with the outlets or the heater. Yes there is like a space heater in each room I believe but it took me like one minute to figure out. And if I couldn’t figure out, I simply would’ve called the front desk, which is very helpful and they would’ve come to help me out. Since this is a restarted mansion, I think there are restrictions on whether they can install ductwork for a heating system and things like that so I can understand why they have a space heater. But we’re not talking like a portable space heater, this is a built-in quality, modern space heater That worked very well. Bottom line, this is a quality hotel and I hesitated leaving a review because I don’t want it to be overrun and “used“ up. I just hope the management keeps up the quality and maintains this place because I plan on staying here every single time I come back to Cusco, without a doubt. I forgot to mention, they have room service and the food is very good. They also offer free breakfast and the breakfast was great. The free breakfast includes a buffet, but they also will cook you certain à la carte items, free of charge, such as eggs, omelettes, etc. and location is just unbeatable. So, you won’t go wrong here. This is inappropriately leveled, four-star hotel.

Musty Room, Charges for Bottled Water, Hot on the Third Floor & a Leaky Shower

    rating20 Jun 2025

Our room was awful. It smelled of mold, the shower water leaked outside the glass area, it was very hot on the third floor and we had to pay for bottled water. In addition one of the front desk clerks smelled like pot, the street in front was very busy (so drop off and pick up have to be fast) and the fumes from cars were strong. The good news? The laundry, grocery store, market and central historic area were within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was small but the food was ok.

Awful stay - this hotel is not what it markets itself to be!

    rating07 Jun 2025

I was VERY disappointed by this hotel. It markets itself as a fancy mansion, but it is far from it! Basically the hotel is laid out like a Moorish house- with a central courtyard, which has been covered and converted into the lobby. What is horrible about this hotel is that many (if not most) rooms face the lobby, meaning that the only window in your room will face the lobby or the hallway which leads to the lobby. Imagine my horror when I entered my room, on the first floor, which was literally just a meter or two away from the sitting/bar area lobby itself. I felt like my room was in the lobby, and it kind of was! The window in my room opened, you guessed it, towards the lobby! So I had zero privacy, zero fresh air, and constant noise. There were rooms that were facing the breakfast area as well. Seriously, after having been to over 30 countries, this is by far the worst hotel layout I have ever seen. What I also did not like about this hotel is that :*** there is no air conditioning and no complimentary bottled water***. This is the only hotel during my Peru trip where bottled water was not provided complimentary by the hotel. In a place where you're told to drink lots of water due to the altitude, or if you're taking Diamox, this may be a problem. Luckily, there is a grocery store very close to the hotel, where you can get decently priced bottled water. The hotel rooms are clean but small, the safe was ancient and difficult to use. The staff at the front desk were stone-faced and not friendly at all. The servers at the small, cozy breakfast buffet area were attentive, although the food choices were limited. I liked the nice decor in the lobby, but you cannot put a Baroque-style painting in the lobby and in the rooms, and call yourself a mansion. For one, modern-day mansions have air conditioning! The nice decor cannot make up for all of these shortcomings. I felt like I was going to suffocate in this hotel, due to the combination of high altitude, and a lack of AC and fresh air. It is also very hard to sleep when your room faces the lobby as you hear literally everything. I would not stay here again, even if you paid me!
