  Good for a short stay

  Quick trip from the airport with their driver Arturo, who is very kind, attentive and friendly. Thought he might keel over when we gave him a $5 tip for the $20 round trip to hotel and back to airport next day.Quirky neighborhood, I wouldn't want to walk around at night, but what do I know. Check in young woman was lovely and helpful, carried my suitcase up the two flights of tight stairs. The room is nothing to write home about. No pictures on the walls, just the black stickers you can see in the pictures. Weirdly mismatched furniture. A fan, no AC. Very modern bathroom clearly redone. Not too long ago, but pretty cramped. Not the best night’s sleep in the small (double) bed with a mattress that registers with fidelity every move your bedmate makes. Saw the charming side of our lodging when we were served a modest but respectable breakfast by a sweet older man on a cute little rooftop terrace. A small market is just down the street, and a woman sells tamales and cheese discs from a car below our window.

  Perfect for what we needed!

  We booked this hotel because our flight arrived very early and we wanted a place to shower and maybe grab a nap before we picked up our rental car. Communication was great, they text to get our flight information and had a driver meet us at 4:40am to take us to the hotel, $10 one way. The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but inside was clean and kinda kitchy, which I enjoy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Yes there are stairs, but the young girl at the desk hoisted my carry on up two flights! This place is clean, water was hot, pressure was good. I loved the included breakfast on the terrace, so cute! Coffee, juice, two big rolls with butter and jam and real scrambled eggs. There is a market that sprang up across the street, very entertaining to watch. Service great! Cleanliness great! Location great! This is a city, it is loud and smelly, but this was a great choice for us at $44.

  beware, Beware, BEWARE!

  We are avid travelers and I usually give my reviews in three sections as - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. So please read all three sections to get a full picture.The Good: Unfortunately, there is nothing that is worth mentioning in this section.The Bad: * Location: This hotel is at least 7 km away from the airport and no way qualifies for it to be called an 'Airport hotel'.* Hotel identification: This is an apartment converted into a hotel set up. There was no board to identify when we reached late in the night. Fortunately, our Uber driver helped us ring the doorbell and it was answered by a teenage girl who was the only staff member we saw during the stay.* Room: The bed (see in the picture attached) was barely a full size mattress with barely enough space for the two of us to sleep. You turn side and you hit into the other person. Absolutely a wash from what has been shown on the "hotel" site pictures.The Ugly: Usually, this section is the lightest in my reviews but in this case, unfortunately, with the most to share.* Check in: The teenage girl who was the only staff member at the location (I cannot call this place a hotel so will refer to it as the "location"), asked us to pay for the stay in cash. If one wants to pay by card there was a $5 surcharge. Perhaps the owner knows that people would definitely dispute their stay at this shoddy place. This was not every mentioned when reserving the room.* Location: The hotel is located in a filthy location that smelled so disgusting. We had to cover our noses because of the stench around. Unbelievable.* Rooms: The rooms were barely 80 sq ft in size with an equally smaller bathroom. The ceiling height was about 8 feet and I could touch it with my arms not even stretched fully. The bathroom was so tight that one can barely find any space between the toilet and the sink. Even the towel bar would hit my elbow when brushing as the small is so small. See the pictures to get a better idea.* Stairs: The scariest experience was to get down the stairs with your luggage as this amazing location does not have an elevator!!. I had to make multiple trips to the third level as the stairs were so narrow and scary to navigate that I did not want to risk falling down and hurting myself.* Breakfast: Guess who is the one man show of this location, the owner himself ofcourse. He is the one would fix the breakfast for you. All this "B&B" location had to offer was jam, butter and slice of bread. He offered us some juice that he got from the fridge. Seeing the set up and the owner/server licking his finger after some jam touched his finger, we decided not to eat here and left for the airport.We had chosen this hotel seeing the pictures and with the expectation of this location being close to the airport. For the price it was being offered, it did not feel like a bad deal when reserving the place for a few hours of sleep and a breakfast before departing. Usually, the saying goes is that "what you pay is what you get", but in this case I would never stay here even if was given aware for free. So beware and stay away from this place unless it is a dire emergency and you have nowhere else to go for the night. Good luck!

  Room was clean, mattress comfortable. Fan in room but no air conditioning. Shower was good, bathroom was spotless. There is a bar near that has loud music till 3am on weekends. Bring earplugs. Breakfast was decent, served upstairs on roof. Staff was helpful and polite. Do not suggest you walk around area there for safety reasons. Call hotel to send you a trusted cab to airport.

  Good place to stay as transit. Close to airport, though very far from sight seeing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (basic) was delivered to your room right on requested time.
