  ⭐ Mixed experience – some kindness, but overall lacking comfort and serviceHotel Arawi Express, Miraflores (Lima)We arrived in Lima on Monday, 20th October after our overnight journey from London via Madrid. Our transfer from the airport was smooth, and the lady guide was friendly and helpful, which made a positive first impression.Unfortunately, things changed once we arrived at the hotel. The property itself felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and we had to carry our own luggage up steep steps despite tipping both the driver and guide. On arrival, we were told that our room wouldn’t be ready until 3:00pm, and when we asked if we could have breakfast while waiting, we were informed that because we hadn’t yet checked in, it would cost $10 each. After a long flight, that response felt very unaccommodating.We decided to venture out into Miraflores to find somewhere friendly and welcoming for breakfast, which thankfully we did.When we finally checked in later that afternoon, our room was small and lacked a fridge, which made it difficult to keep water cool — a simple comfort we expected after such a long journey.The one true highlight of our stay was the female staff member at breakfast, who was warm, genuine, and naturally hospitable. Her kindness stood out and was a reminder of the service level the rest of the team could aspire to.Overall, our experience at Hotel Arawi Express was mixed — a kind welcome from the guide and an excellent breakfast hostess, but otherwise a stay that fell short in comfort, attentiveness, and hospitality.— Anthony & Virginia Mendonca, United Kinfrom

  Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, nice variety at breakfast, quiet and clean. Perfect stay for a couple of days exploring Lima at the end of a long stay in Peru. Very nice location in a lovely neighbourhood surrounded by cafes.

  The location is a good walk from the Malecon coastal walkway. Small convenience shops & restaurants within the area.Staff are friendly & helpful.My room was modern looking & clean. Everything worked fine. My bed had clean linens & afforded me a comfortable & quiet sleep.The bathroom had good hot water & pressure.Overall, I had a comfortable stay.

  I stayed here for three nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic and clean - not exactly charming, but absolutely fine given the category and price of the hotel. Conveniently located near many shops and restaurants.

  This is a great choice for a short stay in Lima. I stayed just two nights until I confirmed my apartment long stay. It is basic but modern, very clean and in a very safe area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is about. 15 minute walk to Parque Kennedy.
