  Shabby, Run Down But Great Location

  The location in MiraFlores is exellent, but the hotel itself is dirty and run down. We made a reservation on line, only to be told when we arrived at the front desk that the hotel does not take reservations on line. The front desk did not volunteer that they still had rooms, and we were forced to ask if they had a room available notwithstanding their not honoring our reservation. They gave us a room. The carpets and walls in the hotel corridors are dirty, the hot water was intermittant, and when we turned the handle to turn on the shower, the handle fell off. There was loud construction going on in the room next to ours during the day. We were told that there was no longer breakfast included in the rate contrary to what was advertised. No one was in the restaurant the entire time we were there -- probably for good reason. On the plus side, we had a late day airport departure and they let us pay 40 soles to keep the room past the 11 am check out until 8 pm so we did not have to check out and store our luggage somewhere. With this place, its important to have very low expectations, but the location is very good.

  Mixed feelings about this hotel

  Very outdated hotel, friendly staff, bring your own soap, shampoo,etc. ac hardly works and was never fixed. Positive points:Centrally located in Miraflores district 5-10 mnts walk to Larcomar shopping center, close to multiple tourists cultural, shopping attractions , a diverse range of restaurants, and nice Safe area for tourist to walk around.

  Ahead of our arrival, we specifically asked for AC and fans. Upon our arrival, the AC and the safe weren't working and we had to ask for fans which still didn't compeletely work. The staff claimed that the AC would be fixed the next day but two days passed and it never happened. We were finally switched to another room (after having asked for days since our arrival), only to find that night after touring all day that the second room had no hot water in the bathroom. The key also didn't work. After we complained about this to the front desk and asked to be changed to another room (third room), we never received any kind of apology or any offer of a refund or discount. On the contrary, Romulo, the manager, asked to speak to us on the phone where he reprimanded us for being "rude". All three of the rooms we stayed in during our ten day stay had filthy floors and carpets. There are "No smoking" signs but there were a couple of older guests who smoked and left ashtrays out in public spaces throughout all hours of the day, bringing in younger female "guests" late at night. My mother has stayed here several times over the past five years and has noticed a consistent decline in service. The location is very close to where our family loves so this would be perfect but we will never stay here again. The staff were incredibly unprofessional and take no pride in this establishment, which seems to have become a party space for only a handful of guests.

  very disappointed

  I have stayed at the hotel 10 years before my last visit and it was so good that i decided to stay one more time , so i made reservations for July 2019 and and i was so disappointed , it was not was i expected , but more disappointing was the breakfast , which i only eat the first morning out of my two week stay.I think they should not serve breakfast at all. the only thing decent was the reception desk.

  This was my third visit to Lima as I have family in the city. I have always enjoyed my stay at the BayView. It is clean, comfortable, friendly and courteous staff. Very Good buffet b’fast my father enjoys this as he is an early riser. Excellent location close to shopping at LarcoMar & Avenida Larco for all other needs and great restaurants. The staff are very helpful and courteous especially Bronson floor staff and Front Desk woman named Mailan. The both were very helpful.
