I like this Hotel and we always came here the personal are very professional ,very nice and helpful .The rooms very clean and safe?? ?? I recommended to everybody. My friends came from Los Angeles they are very happy and they will return to here too because the place of the Hotel is very close to everywhere . The Del Pilar is located a 2 minute walk from Kennedy Park. The rooms are comfortable. The hotel is a bit noisy so I recommend asking for a room on one of the higher floors. The staff with the exception of Denise were great (she is discussed in several other reviews and is rude, unsmiling and generally not a good first impression for new arrivals.) this hotel was one of our Machu Picchu highligts I wish we would have stayed longer. Beautiful scenery not far from the train station and the staff were wonderful.. They also had 2 Alpacas living on the grounds. Resteraunt was great nothing but great things to say about our experience. If you go when the moon is new it should be a wonderful place to stargaze. We had a almost full moon. 5 stars all the way.

Room a reasonable sizeReception tried to charge us for early check in even though we were leaving early the following morning and wouldn't be having the breakfast. They did end up letting us in the room early, just wish they hadn't tried making a bit of extra cashThe room was noisy, there was an intermittent loud noise, we thought it might be the lift but it wasn't, unless it was from the motor room above us? Anyway it stopped at night and didn't affect our sleep - There were some building works opposite but not sure that was where the noise was coming fromGood locationPreferred out other hotel in Lima, which was cheaper - This one was OK but not as good as some people have rated, in our opinion

Having had an all night flight, the Hotel receptionist checked us in as soon as possible. The lobby is beautiful, we felt safe leaving our luggage in a secured area to go and enjoy a delicious breakfast down the street, while our rooms were being prepared. All the staff members were very kind, helpful, professional and had informative suggestions on places to visit. Breakfast, was included in our package, the selections were delicious and if you wanted to order your eggs prepared differently, they took care of that too. The room service selections seemed good, we enjoyed eating at the many different restaurants so we never used the room service. Wifi, works well in the lobby and in the rooms. The pillows, linen, towels and bedroom decorations were great! We felt very safe going out in the evening for dinner or a late night snack.
