    It was bumpy at first. We booked a triple occupancy room, but the third bed was a cot! Imagine! A cot for an adult female at the Holiday Inn! We called Lima Tours and Wingbuddy…they were not helpful at all. They threw us under the bus, with platitudes and empty apologies. Even the Lima Tours rep was ineffectual. Apologies are useless without changed behaviour. Finally, after 3 exhausting hours, management finally acquiesced and accommodated us in a triple occupancy room with 3 decent beds. Why did it have to take 3 hours? Mind boggling! The room should have been prepared appropriately from the start of our stay. It’s disrespectful to expect an adult female to sleep on a cot! The redeeming factors were Gabriel Bonifaz, who contacted Wingbuddy for us on his phone, and Anthony Robles who commiserated with us. They’re a credit to the Holiday Inn! Kudos! This Holiday Inn is a beautiful hotel…comfortable bedding, fluffy towels, great shower, and a delicious breakfast spread.All’s well that ends well. Thanks again, Gabriel & Anthony! Awesome champs!     Terrible location- not at the airport as advertised. While they offer a shuttle, we sat in traffic for AN HOUR to get from the airport to the hotel. I wish I had booked the Wyndham which is actually at the airport.     Holiday Inn Lima Airport to the rescue.

    Holiday Inn Lima Airport to the rescue. Our plans to spend our last night in Miraflores before heading home to San Francisco fell through when our flight from Trujillo to Lima was cancelled due to zero visibility fog. While we were still in Trujillo, I hit up trusty old TripAdvisor and found the Holiday Inn Lima AirPort and booked it. We were able to get out of Trujillo the next morning, and shortly after our arrival at the Lima Airport, we were at the Holiday Inn. The reception staff were so nice and arranged an early check-in, and scheduled our airport shuttle for us. We were able to drop our bags in the room and get some breakfast just down the street. The room was comfortable and quiet, with excellent air conditioning and very nice beds. The bathroom was spotless with a great shower, and nice fluffy towels. They even had washcloths, which is rare in Peru. We were able to get some work done and take a long nap. Before we departed for the airport on the free shuttle, we had dinner in the restaurant and it was quite tasty.All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel. Highly recommended.     Right from the first moment we arrived from the shuttle the staff were very helpful. We had an early morning flight and our transport on the free airport shuttle was booked for us. We had dinner at the hotel which was very tasty indeed. Our waiter was Daniel who was super helpful even arranging a non alcoholic Pisco Sour
