Premium prices but budget hotel mindset
12 Mar 2026
The location is fantastic, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The front-of-house and housekeeping staff deserve 5 stars—they are genuinely kind and professional.Unfortunately, the management operates with a surprisingly cheap mindset that ruins the experience. Despite paying premium rates, I was denied a second coffee at breakfast because of a "one-coffee-per-day allowance"—an embarrassing level of nickel-and-diming for a hotel of this caliber.Furthermore, my specific request to have my laundry folded and packaged was ignored; the shirts were simply returned on hangers, budget-motel style. It’s a shame to see such a great property and hardworking staff held back by a management team more focused on petty cost-cutting than guest satisfaction. Reservations ArugaByRockwell, Other at Aruga by Rockwell, responded to this review Dear Mr. Fab,Thank you for staying at Aruga Apartments by Rockwell and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your recent stay.First and foremost, please accept our sincerest apologies for the aspects of your experience that fell short of your expectations as our goal is always to provide a comfortable, seamless, and memorable stay for every guest. We sincerely appreciate your kind words about their service mean a great deal to us, and we will gladly share your compliments with them. At the same time, we are very sorry to hear about your experience during breakfast, particularly regarding the coffee service, as well as the handling of your laundry request. Please rest assured that your feedback has been shared with our management team so we can review and improve our processes.Sincerely,The Aruga Team
