    Perfect place to stay.

Arrived mid afternoon by taxi from the airport and the hotel is so close to everything! Reception was great paid city taxes and a % to the hotel working out at 106 zl or round about. We were on the second floor, and the room was spacious and clean. We grabbed coffee on the way out from the hotel resteraunt every morning and they were very nice! Overall would definitely stop again.

    Great Location But Some Issues

    rating07 Jun 2026

We had a few unpleasant experiences here. If you are thinking of booking a dining package, don't! I will go into that later but it's definitely not worth it. Especially since you'll be steps from dozens of restaurants. The Holiday Inn is in a perfect location, minutes from all the nicest parts of Gdansk. Neptune's Fountain and the heart of old town are a 5 minute walk, the WW II museum (must see, btw). Is less than a 15 minute walk and the train station was about 20.The rooms are nice by HI standards, compact but nicely decorated. No coffee machine though, unless you book a premium room. Ours just had instant which was a disappointment. We booked a "stay and dine rate" which included dinner and 2 drinks (1 per person a night). I was pretty sure it said it included breakfast but we were informed it didn't on arrival There was a similar advertised rate that came with breakfast and dinner and I asked if we could just pay the difference but nobody every got back to me. The hotel's customer service is seriously lacking (more on that later) I also tried emailing but never heard back that way either. The real disappointment with the hotel was the restaurant; they serve no Polish food! Our dinner package came with a soup, main course and desert. The soups were decent and I had a nice salmon dish one night but everything else like the pizza was mediocre and the other choices were odd like a fish burger or an Asian stir fry. I will say the servers were all nice though. The drinks can be used at either the main restaurant or the sky bar which is on the top floor, and had a terrace with great views. Unfortunately the only drink options they'd let us choose from were house wine or beer (they specialize in cocktails) We were there 3 nights and noticed the other tables got little bowls of complimentary popcorn while we didn't, a small thing but it made us feel like we were second class guests. Unfortunately the housekeeper took my wife's nightgown which she had hanging from the bathroom door. We assume that they took it by mistake when taking the towels. We reported it to the front desk, they said they'd look into but weren't at all apologetic when we first reported. Two mornings later at check out we did have it returned by the front of house manager who was very nice and apologetic and arranged a free taxi for us to the train station which was a nice gesture I wouldn't return but if you're just staying the night, not eating there and value the location it's probably worth booking.

    Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would love to return. The hotel had a clean, welcoming and modern atmosphere. The location is excellent, with just a small walk over the bridge from the old town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish. The rooms had a good size, with a nice bathroom. This hotel delivered on every front. The combination of top-notch service and a perfect location made our trip a great success. I will recommend this hotel for pairs, families or friends, and I know where I will stay the next time i visit Gdansk.

Nice hotel as the heart of Gdansk

    rating21 Mar 2026

We stayed here this week from Tuesday - Saturday and we really enjoyed our stay, me and my partner come over regularly but this was the first time my parents have visited Poland, this hotel was in the perfect location for sightseeing! We had the breakfast only once as it was an early start and the buffet selection was great!! We’d 100% stay here again
