    Fantastic ten day trip

This hotel and staff were amazing and you felt like part of the family whilst we were there rather than just guests. Anastasia and the team at the bar were brilliant. So friendly, caring and brilliant. Anastasia went that extra mile to help one of us when we had a problem with a swollen arm by providing ice and TLC. Absolutely amazing. The view from the hotel was incredible, the food in the restaurant, the mini bus to town and back was fantastic. Thank you everyone for making our first visit to Skala and Kefalonia a memorable one. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.Alan and family from north east England

Great hotel on a beautiful Greek island

We had a really good stay at the hotel. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very relaxed. The swimming pool is perfectly chilled and a good size.Breakfast is good and the bar is great. The room was great with a wonderful view of the sea.It is a little bit out of Skala but there is a regular bus from the hotel. We would advise a hire car to discover all of the amazing beaches and towns on beautiful Kefalonia.

    Warm welcome - chilled vibe.

Just home from another fabulous stay at the Asteris. This is our 3rd stay now, and we have loved each one. This hotel is so chill. Just far enough away from Skala to feel super relaxed, plus slightly uphill from the resort so that you get amazing sea and Skala views. Don't worry though, the hotel has a mini bus to take you to Skala in a few minutes if you want to visit the beach or other amenities. We always pick seaview rooms (though I imagine all the rooms have great views due to the position of the hotel buildings). This visit we had a spectacular view from the uppermost end room. Glass balcony allowing for a huge beautiful blue, sea and sky view. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and beautifully clean. There is a good selection to choose from at breakfast. We ate some lunches, midday snacks, and dinners at the Asteris restaurant too during our stay and enjoyed each one. The restaurant staff are great. Cold, draught Mythos, smoothies, cocktails, et al. are available from super welcoming Anastasia and her team at the bar. There is a lovely pool with a wonderful sea view, and the very amenable reception staff supply sunbed towels. We have only visited in peak season, but the pool has always felt very chilled, there are always available beds and plenty of space to swim. This is a family run hotel, the staff are just great. Just manages to give a warm welcome but a chilled vibe. A real gem 💎 of a place.

Great time at this super-friendly hotel!

Just returned from 10 days at this hotel. Great place for a holiday - views over the bay are stunning. This hotel has one pool, one bar, one restaurant. The pool is great, the food is good and the cocktails are amazing all day long. Everybody at the hotel works really hard so you can have a good, relaxing time. It really felt as if the staff were a family. The late-ish bar ensured a great atmosphere around the pool when returning from the evening meal.We had a deluxe and a standard room. The standard room was actually bigger size-wise. The 'deluxe' is actually fairly small (a decent Premier Inn-sized room) but with a better air con system, decor, bathroom etc - and of course the views! The food at the restaurant was good - different 'special' each evening, good value lunches (large sandwiches, generous portions of pizza, pasta, salads etc). Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean and the cleaners work really hard and are incredibly cheerful. Note that each room has a fridge for water and a safe. The deluxe rooms are a little limited storage wise - pack a couple of hangers as well! There is plenty of help at hand to arrange car hire, tours and restaurant bookings. It is probably too far out of town to walk (downhill going into town, uphill back) but the mini bus works well. It costs 8-10 Euros for a taxi from town back to the hotel. We had a really memorable time here - everyone is just, well, lovely. [For those interested, there is a large TV - we went "pre-season" football wise, but they had Community Shield, Super Cup on the TV so I imagine they will show EPL (as well as other leagues!)]
