    Superb hotel, really! It’s very clean, with cleaners available all day. You have free sparkling or still water on every floor, which is a nice touch. The beds are very comfortable.The restaurant is five stars in my opinion, serving local organic food. The staff is well-trained and really polite, especially Ilona. She memorized our order without needing a pencil—she’s a treasure every restaurant would dream of! The reception team was fantastic as well.We slept very well; you can't hear the nearby airport at all. Highly recommend deSilva!We will be back! 100%

    Hygiene standards in room simply unacceptable on this occasion

    I've stayed at the DeSilva previously and was pleased with the standards on that occasion. This time, however, I was appalled by the soiled linens, as per the attached photo. Whilst the hotel has apologised (after numerous attempts to make contact) and regrets not meeting our expectations, I feel the focus here ought to be on hotel standards rather than "customer expectations" as any reasonable person would expect a clean bed at a hotel. Further, it's inexcusable to fail on that score at any time of time but our check-in was approximately 2am - we had precious few hours to catch a bit of sleep prior to a busy week and I felt the allocation of dirty/noisy rooms was sloppy customer service.Incidentally, a friend staying in a different room reported that the noise levels were terrible and that she could hear machinery throughout the night. Breakfast was fine and the young lady on reception in the morning was very polite and pleasant. Umfortunately I've now lost confidence in the hotel which is a shame as it is so convenient for the airport. I have apologized to You on your private email, expedia, I will do it on Trip Advisor too. I know that we have made a mistake. For the future reference, if You will come accross that something is wrong in the room, whereever You will be staying, please contact Staff immediatelly, not afterwards. (even at 2 am).     Whilst I understand it’s an airport stopper kind of hotel I was looking for a quiet room. Stated on my booking. I was giving a room with some sort of machine next to or above, making a huge noise, generator-like kind of noise. Going on and off all night. Impossible to sleeep. It was a hot summer night so I turned the ac on and it started pouring down water, leaking down on the power switch, very scary. The single beds make you feel you can’t turn in bed without falling out. The the shower head did not stand on its own so it was difficult to take a proper shower. Breakfast was nice. Parking is free.

    It's the perfect choice arriving at the airport of Katowice late in the evening. Very fast check-in check out service. Also the restaurant is quite good and the service is fast enough.     Flew in late for our trip to Krakow and due to snow and being night we made reservations at DeSilva. We arrived around 11:30 and was able to get a late night cocktail. The room had a double bed and the heat seemed on full blast making it feel like it was over 80degrees. We turned the heat off in hopes that we could sleep. My husband is I’ve 6 5’ and with 2 tall adults it was not a comfortable sleep. Breakfast was good. Staff very pleasant.
