  I am quite disappointed with my stay in Krakow with the hotel that left something to be desired. The sheets were holed and in poor condition. We did not have a closet but simply a very small locker that lets almost nothing in. The worst is yet to come... the bathrooms. With showers that are either freezing or burning, no middle ground. In addition, the showers are so small that you can barely change without encroaching on the next shower. The toilets were clogged for several days, and the cleanliness also leaves something to be desired. To flee.... Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr. View originals.

  I really recommend staying at Das Hostel! Very helpful staff, comfortable beds, and the decor extremely pampered with great attention to detail made my stay so nice and positive:)Besides what I mentioned above: - spotless clean - well-equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, dishwasher, induction hobs etc.)- very safe - magnetic cards, lockers inside dorms, cameras etc.- good location (5 minutes to the Main Square, 2 minutes to the nearest tram stop)and many more! :3

  It was a short stay, but I really recommend this hostel. Low prices, amazing decor and very nice owner. Good price and quality ratio. Big plus for the proximity to the center and railway station. Bus to the airport just nearby.

  I've arrived at Das Hostel on 20th of October, a long stay for me. To be honest I choose it for the price and for the private shuttle from the airport since I was arriving too late at night. The guys from the staff have been so kind since I contacted them by email, and they're still great here and always available for any help! The location is just perfect, a few steps from the city centre, in a very beautiful and well served area, love it! The place is clean and very well organized, the kitchen is equipped with every kind of stuff and is so nice to cook here :)Last, but not least, the guys are very careful with hygienic rules and keep the place clean everyday, makes us feeling really safe! As I said in the title, I feel at home 😊

  well i arrived at Das Hostel, and to be honest i was a little shocked at the entrance.It looked quite rundown.But it's an old building in an area that is not pedestrianised, but as of september they are putting in tram lines and resurfacing so if you go next year i'm sure it will be up and running. Das hostel is very close to the center and lots of shops and coffee shops around to get coffee and food! and not far to wander home after a few vodkas and good food,( although Das hostel has a clean and well equipped kitchen)They are obviously trying rebuild/ tart up the area due to the new money of tourism.but saying that, it is in no way a bad area at all!!!! and i felt totally safe at all times. not even a flicker of worry. I think that is all of krakow. Feels safer than london. Its a very pretty city and in good very good order.I really honestly can not complain one bit.Once you are in the hostel it is lovely. its clean and friendly. I stayed in a four bedroom room, and had a mix over 5 days of uk, australian, finish, and polish people.There were people of every nationality and all were respectful of each other and friendly.I didn't feel awkward and felt quite at home and free to move around.There isnt a lot of shower rooms but plenty for everyone and all are clean, with no need to worry.AS FOR THE STAFF!!!!! THEY WERE JUST FABULOUS!!!! so helpful, polight and could not fault them at all. They will book your tours and transfer to the airport and help you anytime, if you need and chat. I think how helpful the staff were made the experience as it can be daunting in a different country when not staying in a hotel.Das hostel is clean and tidy and friendly. I have honestly stayed in worse hotels in london for 120 pounds a night. If you want a cheap place to stay for a long weekend or week in poland then i can't recommend this place enough.For £10 a night you really can not go wrong. !!! All i suggest that if you have the money when you leave, is to leave a small tip as a thank you xx i loved it and i am sending my daughter there next year with her boyfriend. thank you to the staff at Das hostel you were great xx
