    Aging Infrastructure

    rating13 Jan 2026

It’s a nice location with easy access to Texas A&M, and the staff was nice. However, there are major issues with aging infrastructure. We would never return. 1. The security reader did not work, so we needed someone to let us in our room from Thursday evening until noon on Friday. 2. Checked in on Thursday night, and we still had no hot water at check-out on Saturday at noon.3. Because we had to leave early for an athletic event on Saturday morning, we bought food to cook. However, the stove to did not work. Since we paid more for the hotel to be able to cook, this was disappointing. The double hit was the wasted food that we could not cook. BEWARE Bad Mgmt-Hotel Needs Attn.

    rating10 May 2025

Extremely disappointed with our stay, and manager, Anthony Aguilar, showed no concern for issues. We are IHG reward members, and stay frequently. This property is not Staybridge quality or worth price. At $400+ night (grad weekend) expect a great stay. We spent extra for the addl space, but not worth frustration.Issues:1) ants-it’s Texas and near summer. It’s a common issue BUT when front desk told about issue…they said there is nothing we can do until maybe the next day. I asked if they could at least spray or something so we didn’t get ants in our stuff (there were alot) and was handed a can of Raid to spray the rm myself. The hotel never followed up.2) breaker tripped to lights in rm for no identifable reason, phone doesn’t wk and noone answered front desk from cell call, so downstairs at 7am to get help3)SIL stepped on shard of glass on floor at edge of sofa and cut foot4)poor repair-phone didn’t work, coffee maker damaged, yellow stains on mattress on hideaway bed5)extra fee for addl adults in room (total of 5 ppl) and only 3 towel sets. Another trip to desk to get more since phone doesn’t work.6)blood drops on elevator floor two day in a row…they obviously don’t mop/clean regularly IHG Service, Owner at Staybridge Suites College Station by IHG, responded to this review Hi FrostyPals,We appreciate you choosing the Staybridge Suites College Station for your leisure stay. Stay away

    rating24 Oct 2024

This hotel is next to a sewage treatment facility. It smells terrible. We reserved a room for 4 and were given a king suite that included a TWIN sleeper sofa. The front desk refused to bring additional sheets to cover the chaise lounge where my adult son was forced to sleep. One of the worst hotel experiences. NOT recommended

    rating01 Oct 2024

If you're considering booking this hotel on Hotels.com, don’t be misled by the '9.4' rating. This place is no better than other hotels and certainly not worth the price. Save your money and choose a different option. The hotel feels outdated and has an unpleasant smell. The breakfast is below average. I highly do NOT recommend staying here. IHG Service, Owner at Staybridge Suites College Station by IHG, responded to this review Hello DayTrip122949,Thank you for your stay at the Staybridge Suites College Station, Texas. Rotten walls and mold save yourself the trouble

    rating26 Jul 2024

Rotten walls and mold save yourself the trouble! We booked five days and four nights in a two queen suite at College Station. I'm not one to write reviews but I'm writing this because I was shocked to find what appeared to be possibly black mold peeking out behind a soggy rotten wall at a Staybrigde suite. I went to the front desk because the bathroom would have this mildew / rotten smell when the shower was in use. Asthma runs in my family so naturally I asked if we could be moved. They said, all rooms were sold out but a note would be put in so we could be POSSIBLY moved tomorrow. They had a guy come in to clean and put caulking over it. But the drywall itself plus the surrounding area was still soft and wet, to the point where the paint was peeling and bubbling. I went the next day to see if there was a room available. No one at the front desk knew what I was talking about because to my surprise no note was logged. When speaking to the Manager Anthony, he told me it was just "Dry wall dust". I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I was offended. Anthony sent another maintenance guy upstairs. I showed him my concerns. He then asked..who fixed this. I would not have fixed it that way. He communicated that the area was rotten and would need to be removed. He made a call updating management of the current situation of what he observed. He told us we can't be in the room because of the bad smells. After the maintenance called ALL of a sudden another room was found. Anthony told us to pack up our belongings another room is being cleaned. We were waiting over a HOUR until I had to go back downstairs to see what was taking so long. This was the one day my family had planned to go on a family outing separate from Junior Olympics and now we're dealing with this mess of a room that wasn't ever safe for occupancy. We finally got moved to another room. As we were leaving, when checking out, Anthony didn't feel like our family needed any compensation for our inconvenience for having to stay in a room that leached smells of decay and mildew out of the bathroom into the bedroom with slimy paint trying and failing to hide black mold. Because apparently we booked so many rooms due to the Junior Olympics at a lower rate keep in mind it was only lower do to us booking a year in advance, he was not willing to compensate us anymore. He felt our compensation was him finding us another room to stay which you think would be the beginning to the compensation of staying in a "safe" health hazard. To anyone booking thinking that every other room is fine no,in the hallways there is not proper air conditioning so a majority of the establishment feels like you are walking in a sauna. We checked with our teammates and none of the bathrooms have proper ventilation to begin with so what's in our room is guaranteed to be in others. If you need a message from above telling you not to book, consider this a heavenly sign because who wants to pay good money for a hotel that doesn't value their customers'health and when asked for the common courtesy of compensation think that " nothing was wrong". With Staybridge being so close to Texas A&M. I thought this establishment would show more care for athletes health who choose to book at this establishment. Coaches please don't book block rooms here, read the reviews first. If you value good lung health before game day.
