    Clean and comfortable room - shame about breakfast

    We could not fault our lovely little room tucked away up on the 4th floor. Beds were comfy and shower was great too. Got used to the tram noise so that didn’t bother us in the slightest. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast though. We had booked a trip to Auschitz and only found out that it was a 7am pick up the day before. When we checked in I asked the receptionist if we could have breakfast to go as it was only available from 7am. She said that the staff needed more notice to prepare a breakfast box. I didn’t think this was very fair as we couldn’t know that in advance. She did say we could turn up five minutes early to grab some food ourselves. I was expecting them to supply some sort of container and take away cup but we had to wrap the food up in napkins which wasn’t ideal. The selection was good though. The next day when we went down for breakfast around 9.30am the choice wasn’t as good as items hadn’t been replenished. Also, there was no hot chocolate available from the machine and when I asked if the server could make one in a different way, we got a straight no. So all in all I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast but the room was great.

    Nice hotel. Comfortable room & friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing & only £10.00. I would highly recommend! Thank you.

    Great experience apart from the BED BUGS!

    We travelled with family members (8 adults) and overall we had a lovely stay at The Lavender Hotel, however it was spoilt by one thing............BED BUGS!!!Pro's - location, breakfast, amazing showerCons - Bed bugs in Room 13 - woke up and was covered in bites - estimated around 100 all over my body! My husband wasn't affected, so it just must have been the bed closest to the bathroom. We complained and insisted in changing rooms which was actioned with very little concern from the Manager. Following our stay I read on Tripadvisor 1 MONTH BEFORE that someone had complained about bed bugs in Room 13 so clearly the hotel has not done anything about the complaint!There is noise in the bedrooms at the front of the hotel from 5am of trams but this didn't really bother us.PLEASE BEWARE OF ROOM 13.....................all other family members weren't affected

    Stayed in room 13 ProsLocation 10 mins away from old town walking spacious roomsgood shower Cons Trams run until late then start again at 5am running every 10mins. they are really noisy and the room actually shakes. This was a huge problem for myself but my partner managed to sleep through it. Ear plugs are provided but they didn’t help at all.No english speaking channels on the tv.First morning my partner had a little itch lump on his leg by the 3rd day he was covered in bites of some sort. We were hoping to bring our daughter for her 16th birthday in December but sadly it won’t be to this hotel.

    Absolutely freezing but really enjoyed krakow and the hotel is modern very clean staff are beautiful people can't fault it 10/10
