    Definitely stay here again

    Brilliant location about 10 min walk to main square passing lots of shops restaurants and bars on the way. Tram/ bus stop opposite and train station around the corner.Very clean and comfortable and very good breakfast. Loved the old fashioned charm.We had a room at the back. We could still hear the trams but it wasnt a problem but what was a slight problem was the loud talking from the garden below which seemed to be constant whenever we were in the room and with it being one of the hottest weeks of the year the windows were wide open.It seemed to be two individuals talking in Polish very loudly. Would definitely stay here again.

    UTTERLY APPALLED AT RUDENESS, BAD MANNERS & IGNORANCE OF STAFF

    Absolutely appalled by the rudeness & ignorance of the staff @ reception & the person who I was told was the manager bur who until I started raising my voice & demanding she came & spoke, refused to do so. Hiding behind a curtain in reception she was very bad mannered, her skills at dealing wi8th upset customers in was zero. Just as the receptionist had dine she repeatedly said the same facile excuses over & over.I was utterly appalled at a hotel with a reputation could have customer facing staff who were so uneducated & incredibly bad mannered.They might think they're 5* (actually only 3*) but I have been far better treated in a 1* star hostel in Krakow. Krakow has an abundance of good, decent hotels with aware, knowledgeable staff who treat clients with respect & if there is an issue they try to resolve it. Polonia did none of this. They acted like children who had been challenged & didn't like it. Instead of discussing the issue instead of hiding behind a curtain (manager, supposedly) they acted like silly children.I do not recommend Hotel Polonia at all & would advise potential customers to go to one of the mant alternatives in otherwise beautiful, historical Krakow

    Just spent five days staying at this hotel in Warsaw. Absolutely loved our stay and was surprised by the standard of the hotel and staff. Had a great time in Warsaw as well.

    I stayed at the Polonia after several nights because it was around the corner from another turn-of-the-century hotel where I stayed several nights before. I found the Polonia to be better updated overall. The Wi-Fi was also much faster — in fact, that’s the main reason I decided to switch.Staff were mostly very friendly, though there were a few less-cheerful interactions. My room (#57 on the 3rd floor) was large, clean, and comfortable, with a good bed, bottled water provided, and an electric kettle with coffee and tea — all appreciated touches. There was a closet with hangers for my clothes, and I liked that the windows could open for fresh air. The bathroom was a good size and well maintained.I had requested a quiet room and was given one overlooking the park — a beautiful view, but it also came with the sounds of trams, buses, late-night street cleaners, people at the bus stop, and the occasional siren. The trade-off was worth it for the view, but light sleepers should be aware and bring ear plugs.There was no refrigerator, which I would have liked, but the staff were kind enough to store an ice pack for my knee in their freezer. The only real disappointment was the very small TV for such a large room, with no English-language channels and no English instructions on how to use it.Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay in a classic building with much better internet and updates than many nearby hotels.

    Give it a go - we stumbled across this place by accident

    We visited twice; first for lunch which was the menu of the day approx 13 euro for three courses - amazing value. Second visit for dinner, pierogi stater to share and two mains and a bottle of wine was exceptional value for money and local cuisine. Would not hesitate to recommend.
