Location

This hotel is centrally located just a few minutes from the motorway. The Jagiellonian University campus, the Papal Library as well as the Lord's Charity Sanctuary at Lagiewniki are all to be found in the near vicinity and it is just a few paces to a diverse selection of shopping and entertainment venues. The royal castle is a mere 2.5 km away. This is the ideal base from whence to explore Krakow and its surrounds, such as the Wieliczka salt mines, the winter sports resort of Zakopane, the former concentration camp of Ausschwitz and the pilgrimage destination of Częstochowa with the shrine of the Black Madonna.

Facility

5 apartments and 75 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the complex include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board.     Total disaster arrived to find it was now apartments and had been for at least 18 months.

    No longer hotel it is now residential apartments with no facilities. Rooms renovated into flats. No longer a working hotel reception closed, bar closed, restaurant closed, spa and swimming pool closed.

    On arrival by taxi if not for the driver we would not have entered the place. As has a code at the door as it is not a hotel anymore. The hotel is now private apartments there is no restaurant or bar. Phoned Tui they would not move us or refund. They offered £100 compensation.

    Nice hotel, a bit far from the center but there was a tram nearby, so it is not a problem to reach the center. The location is good.The room was clean and comfortable. However, there was a good breakfast. The parking is within the premises of the hotel.

    The worst hotel we have ever been to. It was so bad we left after only 2 hours! This is no way a 4 star hotel, at best it’s 1 star. The hotel is dated, dirty and unwelcoming. The hotel location is dyer, nothing in the vicinity at all, no bars or restaurants. Cannot comment on food as didn’t stay long enough to try. Avoid this hotel if at all possible.

    Definitely not 4 star.The plus points:The breakfast is nice with lots of choice.The location 2 mins from the tram stop makes the main square very easy to access.Most staff were friendly and helpful.The negatives:It’s very very dated.Rooms are awful, beds so uncomfortable, no mattress or pillow protectors didn’t have one good night while we were there.Rooms hot, air conditioning doesn’t work and they don’t have any fans.Towels are like thin sandpaper I’d bring your own with you.Most staff were lovely but when I asked about local restaurants I was told by one to look on the internet not exactly helpful !Overall it was a base but not being comfortable enough to sleep was so disappointing.
