  Not good for elderly guests the building hasn't got a lift.

  My relatives (86+81 years old) were suppose to stay for a week and they were given a room in the 4th floor with no lift.Of course they could not stay there and were forced to look for a different location. The Hotel wasn't ready to reimbursed the money because they never "said " there was a lift...They also never said there wasn't...

  Close to City Center but Quiet

  We booked this apartment for 2 nights in late May and found it to be a very unique place. We were on a driving trip and GPS got us there but I did not check my email the day before and had been contacted to let La Gioia know when we would be arriving. So there was a little confusion when we got there and I found no front desk to check in. But 1 phone call and a short wait and we were greeted and showed the apartment. She made sure that everything was ready and showed us where to park on the street, where to go for food (Grocery store across the street), and where the Main square was. We did have to walk up 4 flights of stairs as there was no elevator, and carrying luggage this could be an issue. I am 53 but found the climb to be a good cardio workout after sampling the great local foods. The room was spacious, had a fully equipped kitchen, eating bar, very modern bath. Our actual apartment is the one in the picture above. the couched fold into beds for sleeping. The square is only about a 10 minute walk, the river is across the street with lots of paths for walking and biking. If so inclined to use the public transportation, there is a tram stop around the corner. It is a very quiet area even with a busy street close. A very nice place to base for travel around the city and area.

  I have booked this apartment for my business trip. It was very nice arranged and cosy. I like very much its style of elegant simplicity. Modern designe in an older (but nicely renovated) building makes really surprising effect. Very good location in a city center - walking distance to all main Krakow attractions.Little minus - bulding is without lift...
