    Great hotel

This is a great hotel, and in a great location, we stayed 4 nights in June 26. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a great breakfast, and on the more we visited Auschwitz-Birkenau we had a 05:50:start, so we asked for a breakfast bag. We couldn’t believe what we got, it fed us all day.The tram stop outside was the terminal, so you knew, if you you got the no 1 or 13, with saltwator on the bus you would get home

Absolutely excellent stay. Friendly staff, good food, comfy and clean room . Used the spa one morning and had massages- well worth it!! Lovely walk into centre- about 20 mins to the castle. A really good find

    Not this time

Hotel has its great years far behind. Air condition is A DISASTER. Central conditioning without possibility to change the temperature. You have to ask front desk to complete switch off. But this is not guaranteed. Some rooms might be happy, some not. Russian (polish) roulette. Looks like it depends also whom do you run into at front desk.

By no means should be this considered 5 star hotel. Disgusting food, no pool, underequipped rooms. We had a three person room, got 2+1 and one person had to sleep on a camp bed. Breakfast was less than disappointing, lunch burgers were inedible. Pizza was okay, but we had to wait for over an hour.

Krakow didn’t disappoint but sadly this hotel did

    rating26 Mar 2023

When we arrived at the hotel both myself and my partner were disappointed Firstly we were expecting a room with a view what we actually got was a room overlooking a street with a tramline so you can imagine the noise ! When we spoke with reception she told us yes because we booked through a travel company rather than directly booking with the hotel there was no option for us to be moved unless we were going to pay a further £100 per night for the duration of our stay. On arrival also I noticed that the towels provided had lipstick marks on them( I didn’t mention this to reception ) we just used the other towel expecting a clean set the following day, this wasn’t the case we still had the dirty towel and the one we’d used hadn’t been changed either … When mentioning this to the hotel they did provide clean towels when we returned that evening but the dirty towels remained ( I don’t know if this is the case in Poland I’m not sure what the standard is but our beds weren’t made neatly just pulled over, the bin was emptied daily but no fresh toiletries, toilet roll or towels provided unless we asked for. We also didn’t find the staff friendly no interaction at all !! And trust me when I say I’m not one to complain or make a scene. Good points about the hotel- it was in a good location a little out the way (away from the hustle of the square but a 5 minuet taxi journey into the main square / or a 20 Ish minuet walk along the river to the square. The spa was nice and the massage was fantastic and very reasonable compared to Uk prices. I wouldn’t stay here again :( Expected more Not that we spent anytime in the hotel but I wouldn’t return. ALSO TIP anyone visiting Poland download bolt app ( taxi service ) we got a taxi from airport when we arrived it cost 150 Using a bolt taxi it cost us 40 ( we were 20 ish minuets away from airport ) Defo use the bolt app !!
