Location

This historical palace hotel is situated in the city centre, in the vicinity of the most important cultural institutions and entertainment centres. The location is ideal for carrying out business affairs, getting to know the city treasures and enjoying the view of the castle walls near the Vistula river. The area also offers a varied and attractive café-bar life. The proximity of the former Jewish district Kazimierz and the Old Town enables guests to plan interesting trips and have a wonderful time face to face with history. There are links to the public transport network just 50 m from the hotel, and the train station is about 1 km away. John Paul II International Airport is about 10 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1895. 24 rooms, including suites, 4 single rooms and 19 double rooms, are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Excellent choice for a break with a relaxed atmosphere, outstanding staff and central location. Great value with comfortable, clean rooms. Can't wait to return. Thanks for the excellent service throughout our stay.

    The front of house staff and general presentation of the hotel is lovely. But to pay for a spa break and a cooked breakfast and to receive neither, unacceptable. No response to complaints; non-existent management. No accountability. Just appalling customer service. No advice on where to get breakfast or a refund or alternative offer. We are sincerely sorry that the local power cuts that effected many of the properties in Ambleside must have been at the same time as your stay with us.     Stayed at this hotel following an absolutely disgraceful experience at Langdale hotel and spa.Some lovely staff, lovely rooms however, budget rooms are basic but clean.It is best to upgrade to get the best experience.Only issue was breakfast. Its not very well led/executed and staff are blaming each other for things going wrong.Be prepared for a wait or, for your order to be wrong which happened to us on each morning.However having said that breakfast isn't bad.If the above improves, that would be great however, It hasn't stopped me form booking again!Just beware of Langdale and see my revie for further info.
