  I would rate 0 if i could! Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life! Rude staff, rooms are simply awful. Couldn’t eat the breakfast, had to go elsewhere. Mould in bathroom, small old towels, corroded tapware, no seal on door so light shined in my room all night, very uncomfortable bed. Room was too hot, air con didnt work, I asked reception if they could fix the air con, they said they didnt turn air con on till May. It was the end of April and my room was 29.5C at night! Despite me having the ‘do not disturb’ sign on my door, twice the cleaner came in! One of the times I had just got out of the shower and I was only in a towel! Only 1 power socket whole room! I wanted to leave but they wouldn’t let me cancel or refund. Totally not acceptable! I sent booking.com numerous messages to see if they would help. No help from booking.com! They told me to contact the hotel! The hotel said to contact booking.comThe room described above was the second room I was allocated when I complained about the first room. The first room was bigger but in my view worse! They wouldnt even give me a partial refund because I moved from the original bigger room I booked to a smaller box room.

  Alexander fantastic hotel

  A fantastic hotel located perfectly just outside of the noisy main area at st julian. It was a bit cold during this period to swim outside but the rooftop pool looked great. Moreover their basement gym has sufficient sports items for us with 2 threadmills, a bike, a crosstrainer, a dip & pullup stand, an extended smith machine, 2 cables a bench and various dumbbells, and the basement pool and sauna are heated so we could swim there. Our room was on the fifth floor and it included a hairdryer, a toilet of course, a completely sealable shower, a fridge, a big closet, airco, comfortable beds, and an electric kettle. 2 of the sockets work for european plugs and chargers. The hotel staff is so nice and experienced. I cannot describe how wonderful they are. Our room was always cleaned well, breakfast was varied and tasty, the staff is super friendly and polite, and we were even invited to eat together on one evening. Any questions we had were quickly answered or fixed. For example we did not understand how to turn on the hairdryer in our room or the kettle and it was resolved within minutes. The hotel staff is 24/7 available and there is always someone at the front desk near the entrance to assist. The lobby is spacious as well as the dining hall. We will definitely visit again and we give kudos to the great staff again! Thank you very much.

  Good location and nice food

  Stayed here for 2 nights. All staff we met were very pleasant especially the restaurant staff.and manager.Breakfast was good plenty of selection. Had a meal on the second night, lovely food and staff couidnt do enough for us.Only downside was the lack of sleep beds was quite hard. Good location not far from bus stops.

  Good time at Alexandra Hotel, st Julian’s

  Location was ideal to all amenities.Good atmosphere in all parts of the hotel, everyone was very helpful and friendly, especially Aldo.Happy hour spent in the bar with Omkhar was always a jolly one, he was very knowledgeable about all the different cocktails and drinks.

  Ignore the Karen's and negative comments

  Before heading out to Malta, I checked the reviews here and was disheartened to see the negative comments. However, these negative comments are clearly made by Keyboard warrior Karen's who moan for the sake of moaning. Our stay was very pleasant, staff were very friendly, particularly Narphan who is an absolute legend. Our rooms were clean and refreshed daily. The breakfast is out of this world, and a chap called Les was an absolute star in the breakfast room. The only downsides I could perhaps mention, is that the inside pool is generally busy and the kids club times for the pool are a little annoying if you don't have kids. Also, to park your rental car anywhere close to the hotel can be tricky. We were fortunate enough to get a spot outside the hotel but only after circling enough times until a spot was available. But seriously, I'd ignore the negative comments and book this hotel.
