  Don’t stay here.

  We stayed at Zulian Apart Hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. There were no staff present at the property overnight — they were based at a sister hotel a few doors down. During our stay, a serious incident occurred where a couple were physically arguing, screaming, and shouting in the hallways and on the stairwell for nearly two hours (from around 11 pm). It became physical and extremely distressing, waking both me and my child. (as I’m sure it was for their child also who witnessed this). Whilst this isn’t the hotels fault, what is the hotels fault is, I tried calling reception numerous times for help and assistance on this situation, but there was no answer. In the end, other guests had to step in to calm the situation down.This raises major security and safety concerns — if there had been a real emergency, there would have been no staff to assist. The room itself was not very clean either, though the beds were comfortable and the location was convenient.Overall, I’ve given 2 stars purely for the location and the comfy beds, but the lack of on-site staff and poor security as well as not being able to contact the staff during the night made the stay very unsettling.Also there is no lift and no one to assist with bags so if you are on the higher floors and you do have a disability or struggle carrying a heavy case a few flights of stairs, don’t stay here, there are no ground floor rooms avalible.

  Perfect for a short break.

  Location is ideal for main square, room clean and has everything you want. Breakfast was perfect to start the day and the staff were very friendly. Yes we were on the fourth floor so carrying suitcases up was not good but it’s stated beforehand that there is no lifts. For the price and location in a city centre I have no complaints. If you want added extra’s pay more for your stay, but you are not in the room enough to warrant it. I would definitely come back and stay here.

  A few doors down from the actual hotel as per previous reviews. I have two requirements for a hotel and that is to feel safe and for it to be clean and I definitely didn’t feel unsafe, was clean enough it was just slightly old and outdated, had a sort of musty or unfresh feel (it did not smell however) I just felt like there wasn’t enough light or oxygen in the room but it was also without aircon in July. Exhausting to walk up 3 flights of stairs after 20k steps a day but location is very good. 10 min walk to the centre. Worth noting it is very loud outside due to trams and a busy street but we were both okay with that as I prefer a bit of noise to sleep. If it’s just somewhere to lay your head for a couple of nights it’s ok, I couldn’t have done longer than the 3 nights we were there as the room was starting to make me stir crazy even just sleeping in it. I am quite picky and have left hotels within 5 minutes if it hasn’t ticked the boxes but I couldn’t really complain for what it was. If you’re travelling across the world to stay for a week then I would 10000% avoid but it did the job

  No lift, no fridge, no A/c. But they have breakfast inc and it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main square so not all bad. The stairs are a killer if you’re on 3rd or 4th floor with your luggage.Rooms are clean and the bathroom and shower is ok. This place is great for a 1 or 2 day stop over but if you’re here for longer then you might want to consider something a bit more upgraded.

  This is the worst hotel I have ever been in. I had a reservation for 7/12-7/14. When we arrived we were early so had to wait to check in. After checkin she told me our room would be the next door outside on the street, push in the pin code to get access to hotel. It was FIVE doors down no elevator which I know some hotels don't have them. We carried our luggage up two flight of stairs first floor with no help and went down a dark hallway to the end where our room door was all rickety and old. The room was a disaster, it appeared nothing like the online pictures and the beds were old and worn, along with sheets and pillows. The desk area was completely worn and chipped from damage and the carpet was filthy and stained. There was a left over soda under the curtains from it not being cleaned and inspected. After all this the absolute worse, was no AC. According to staff they only have AC on the fourth floor. No where on their website does it say they are not ALL air conditioned. The windows were cracked about 3 inches and there were no fans. Lamps are from like the 70's and didn't even work. There were no visible outlets. The furniture was worn and appeared filthy. After speaking to the staff she first said she could refund me my money and she called her manager where she spoke all in polish she retracted and said i needed to take it up with my travel agent but they could not refund me any money. I had to reserve another hotel several blocks away. DO NOT BOOK here!!!! We are disputing the charges where they lied and said that we used the room. I have proof in video when we entered and left and then checked to another hotel. This place is shady and disgusting.
