We had a good time. The staff was very nice, and the variety of stuff to do and the surrounding nature is beautiful. The carnaval program for the kids between hotels was great! The rooms could be improved. The food and drinks were very nice! And the entertainer “Uncle Bolinha” was for sure the highlight! Also the proximity to the storks is great.

Recently stayed one night at a weekend and was told our room did not include tissues as it was a standard room as we paid €150 for the night. I don’t think a box of tissues would’ve gone amissSarcastic, the receptionist greeting was almost hostile. What ever happens to the smile and welcome to the hotel.The saving grace was Liliana who did the wine tasting with us and was absolutely charming and good humouredGeneral manager, please note this and suggest you promote Liliana immediatelyWe have stayed in many hotels in the Alentejo and must say they were far more friendlier

Very nice property where the staff makes you feel at home and welcomed. It is my second time here with kids and they have unforgettable moments. Room and common areas are very clean and well taken care of (rooms are a bit dated but I have heard they are renovating soon), food is good and tasty and all is well organized. Great activities for kids and great people who are part of making it happen, a special thanks to Daniela and her team. Also, despite the very long days and clear shortage of staff mainly in Bar and Restaurant, they were always working with a smile on their faces! Great team!

The hotel is the worst of Vila Gale group I ever experienced - and I have experienced a few. Poorly organised, the common areas are small and the staff is unable to manage it in a way that allows the guests to enjoy the space "equally". In my experience, I stayed for 3 days with my family and didn't once use the outdoor pools because the lounges were always occupied by other guests who "marked" them in the morning and stayed the entire day. The breakfast was so bad we only had it the first day - we preferred to leave the hotel and enjoy our breakfast outside for the rest of our stay. It's so bad it's almost ridiculous - plates with 2 slices of flamengo cheese and 2 slices of ham, butter, processed jams, and that's it. No other offers of any regional produce whatsoever. The coffee is watery and offered in those large "tanks", tasteless. No capuccino, no expresso, nothing. Scrambled eggs are horrible. Fruit is pre-sliced and offered in micro-doses in what looks like a doll portion, and was basically oranges. We tried the buffet dinner when we arrived and that was unreal - all the food was almost cold, no flavour, no quality at all, rubbery textures. We even wondered what was the purpose of having again micro-servings of chorizo, 2 slices per cup (!), which weren't even cooked. Only positive note is the bed, which was quite nice. When we left we were asked if all was OK, we replied "No", but they didn't really care to know why. Seriously, stay away if you can. Worst hotel I've been in for years, and it's not even cheap.
