We stayed at Nobel house for 2 nights. We had a beautiful room with a patio which was located by the back entrance to the hotel and parking lot. It was very convenient as we had our dog with us. The room was big airy and bright with a king-size bed. The bathroon was big and the shower was excellent. A beautiful old hotel in the heart of town with everything within walking distance. The staff were lovely they were very attentive to out needs. Will definately come back to stay again on our next visit. Thank you.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and staff are friendly and ready to help with anything you need. The location is perfect - right in the center, making it easy to explore the city’s main sights, restaurants, and quaint streets.

Stunning hotel in the very centre

Stunning hotel in the centre of Evora, with access to everything (about 25 metres from the cathedral). The high ceilings and the amazing views of the countryside made the stay even better. Front desk was awesome (thank you David and Sara), and helped with restaurants and taxis. It was the second time there and it did not disappoint.

Nice hotel, Service issue

While the hotel itself and room were nice, I cannot recommend this hotel based on our abysmal experience upon arrival.First, absolutely do not drive to this hotel. If you put it into your GPS it will take you on a street that I’m guessing should not actually have cars on it. I almost got stuck and ruined our rental car. A heads up or some direction from the hotel prior to check in would have been helpful.Second, after a harrowing experience getting my car through basically an alleyway, I arrived to reception where my husband had already “checked” us in as we had arrived early and just wanted to drop our bags. There was one employee working the desk, no other guests in sight. I approached him to make sure my husband was able to check in ok as the reservation was under my name and to inquire about laundry service. The employee barely bothered to look up at me from a note he was writing and told me that he was very busy and I would need to wait a few minutes… for him to answer a question that would take 30 seconds. I attempted to clarify I just wanted to ask a quick question and was cut off saying again he was busy and I’d need to come back later. I was so taken aback and upset by his dismissal and total rudeness. We travel internationally frequently and are truly very low maintenance hotel guests. Never in my life have I been treated like this.Unfortunately this interaction left me upset as we began sightseeing in town and really overshadowed what could have been a nice stay.If you’ve read this far, please at least take away my warning about driving to the hotel and save yourself a lot of stress.

Beautiful hotel in a gem of a city.

The biggest thank you ever was for the desk receptionist who called us back after a missed call to the hotel. We were Americans stranded on the roadside with our rental car and all car rental phone numbers were answered in Portuguese. He helped us figure out taxi, tow truck and eventually got to the hotel! This hotel room was not a hotel room in that it was much larger than an American one. the breakfast that is included is sumptuous, plenty to eat! We are sorry we only got 12 hours here, Evora is a beautiful city that didn't feel huge or touristy. Nobel House also has parking, which was a difficult commodity we found out, while traveling with a car. The hotel is well situated within walking distance of city center. It was clean and a great European vibe.
