Modern and clean hotel, outstanding staff.

    rating28 Sept 2026

Vila Galé is a sleek and modern establishment, located outside the city centre with an easy access by car, but a few meters from the city walls. E is an old but very compact city, so most of its landmarks are at a walking distance. The hotel is functional and contemporary. Just after the huge lobby there´s a garden with sunloungers and the swimming pool area, being all of them shallow. The first one is rectangular and large, then there´s an area for kids and finally there´s another one at the end of the garden, but its aluminium steps are a bit slippery. The room was simple and modern, with an impeccable clean bathroom and very comfortable beds. Another positive trait was the lack of noise. Even though there was a show in the lobby with live music, in the room you couldn´t hear absolutely anything. Breakfast was good and abundant. I also want to mention an important thing: the staff were really outstanding, always with a positive atittude, absolutely professional and friendly.

Modern hotel, good location, OK; ‘superior' room is a waste of money.

    rating21 May 2026

We were part of a group, so booked as part of the tour. Modern hotel with plenty of amenities. Just a ten minute walk to the main square. The room was fine if a bit noisy from people banging doors and talking in corridors. We had a 'superior' room, which was a waste of money - all you get extra as far as I could see was the bath robe and slippers. That forfeits a star for me. We had buffet dinner in the restaurant one evening, which was OK but just a bit manic. Breakfasts were not good - the food was fine but it kept running out especially if you get a coach load of Americans taking it all for their lunches; we just had to make do with what was left. The staff we met were helpful, though I have a suspicion that they are short of staff. Vila Galé Hotéis, Proprietário at Vila Gale Evora, responded to this review Dear Mr. David,Thank you for your review, we appreciate your positive comments about the facilities and location of the hotel. However, we are sorry to know that the amenities of the superior room and the restaurant service didn’t correspond to your expectations. These informations are very important for us to make adjustments and improve our service. The Team Vila Galé Évora

Not worth the price. I don't recommend.
