  Was very surprised by the apartments, considering the price we paid. Lovely spot and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Taxi to Albufeira only 10 euros each way, which we did a few times, however it was lovely to just sit around the pool in the bar. The apartments were very clean and the towels were changed while we were there, which we didn't expect as we were only there for 5 nights. Very quiet around the complex, and every member of staff was polite and helpful. You do get asked for a deposit on arrival however by the time I had landed back in the UK the money was back in my account. Will be going back. Would advise that you pre-book and pay for your transfer from the airport as it is a lot cheaper, however allow extra time as passport control is a nightmare.

  Stay away at all cost literally disgusting got out in first room and there’s was ants and mosquitoes all over the place and it was dirty and then got put into the second room and the ants were 10x worse didnt even stay in the hotel for more than an hour and the hotel gave back the security deposit of €200 but refused a refund

  I am honest and to the point with my reviews and will be the same with this one.We went to Vale De Carros in Albufeira in Portugal in March 2026, first impressions were good but soon turned sour, first off we were hit with a 200 euro deposit, something I was not expecting, we also went for a safe as we had some expensive items and cash, another charge, 2.50 euro per day.we checked in and were given our keys to the apartment and made our way down to it, there are 4 apartments per block, the front door was wide open and not closed, we went into the apartment and straight away we started to think we made a big mistake. I will list the plus and minus below in a sec, anyway to the safe I go, try to do what was said on the instructions that we were given to us, no joy, safe was locked by previous people so we was unable to use it, I went to reception and told the guy who said try this code, again no joy so back a third time, he said we move you to another apartment, OK I say and we move to another apartment, go to get code for safe get back and try to enter it and guess what this safe also don't work so now getting really pi....d off, back I go again only to be told nothing they could do but would refund me the cost, I said OK please refund, then to be told he could not do it and need my details, give him the details but then told he needed my IBAN ??? what the hell is this I say, then told only way he can refund but would do it anyway as of now still not got refund and don't expect to get it either.So to my + & - of this property.The good stuff !:In a nice quiet areaLooks nice from the outsideFriendly cat :-)That’s it ! sorry :-(============================The Bad stuff !:Quite a way from shops and restaurants, around 20 -30 mins walk, then only a limited amount, around 10 restaurants, 1 general store, 1 Chemist, and a few other shops.Nearest next village where there is a lot more shops is around 40-50 mins walk around 1.5 miles + away.On to the rooms :Very dated, most of the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are literally falling apart, kitchen sink tap is some 16" above the sink so sprays everywhere when used, glasses, plates, knives and forks all old and not very good, very old fashioned 70"s type tiles, chipped and broken, kitchen dining furniture was cheap bendy plastic, awful :-(Bathroom is also very dated, the shower is old and low, i'm 5'10 and had to duck down to get under it !, cabinets falling apart, toilet push button broken, mirror looks like it's from the 60's and rotten.Bedroom again very dated, old 70's style wood wardrobes, beds not very comfortable, but looked clean.Hallway looks like from 70's old fashioned tiles, many cracked or chipped,Kettle base wire had a burn right through to a copper core, totally unsafe.Wi-Fi Internet is very restricted on what you can and can't access, I could not even log onto my work to catch up with some work so had to tether from my mobile phone. Only one toilet roll to last out total time there.Towels and bedding are not changed during your stay, if you're there for two weeks you won't get any clean towels, bedding or general cleaning while there.Oh and don’t get me started on the tennis court LOL ! looks like they have not been any maintenance on them in 10 years, nets in bits, Astro turf, what left of it, totally unplayable surface, discussing :-(I could go on but I think this is more than enough to give you a good idea, it's listed as 3 stars, to us it's just 1 star.Book at your own risk, read what others have said as there's a lot more issues than what I have mentioned and decide for yourself, if I was you I would look elsewhere.This is an honest review of what we saw and encountered.

  Hi stayed here from 14th to 19th September 2025 arrived man at reception was so rude bar staff so friendly bar close at 6 every nite room had 100s of ants and not very clean at all then paid deposit of £200 was told because we where leaving early come to reception and get it back day before we leave so we did go at 6 then told come back at 10 at nite so the girl in reception can come to the room to look at it before they give us the deposit back I would never stay here again
