  Sunset Bay very poor reception experience

  On arrival surly receptionist claimed the 3 emails I had sent and received replies for had no note stating requested room F102. She tried to fob me off with a l bed up some stairs which I refused. Said the requested room was not available and could not explain why another nearby was not allocated. Claimed our room wouldn’t be ready for over 3 hours and wanted us to drag heavy cases across the resort to luggage room which we couldn’t. Refused to tell me which room we were being allocated. Lying she didn’t know but could tell me it was not ready ! Blamed me because we need an accessible room !Wanted me to pay her €20 to check if an rooms were ready.We were left waiting for 3 hours.Finally checked in a room needs tlcSofa bed couldn’t be sat on at all as base is ready to collapse.Housekeeping is only done twice in one week. And I had to request room was sprayed after bugs were running around the kitchen and living room floor.I witnessed another family being treated badly by the same female receptionist.They wanted a 2 bed none available so requested two one beds next to each other as one of the party has autism.Given two apartments nowhere near each other. Eventually after insisting on speaking to someone else found them a 2 bed.Clearly this receptionist does not like her job with her attitude !!Hopefully she gets the training or another job she clearly needs

  I posted this on Facebook page last year, thought I had put on here too. We've just rebooked for this year too We've just returned from sunset Bay may 2025 and it was Absolutely brilliant!!! Can not fault anything and one of the nicest self catering places we've stayed. All staff are lovely and extremely helpful.We stayed in a one bed apartment. Rooms were large with huge balcony. Loved having sun beds on our balcony. Our teen daughters slept on pull out bed which was huge and comfortable. Great space for 4 people. Loved added bonus of full size fridge/freezer and drinking water tap.It's Extremely close to everything you could need, beachfront 10 mins walk, loads of bars/restaurants close by.Will definitely return.

  We had a brilliant stay at Sunset Bay Club. The staff were really helpful and friendly, our room was spotless, comfortable, very well equipped and the balcony had the sun all day and evening.We have stayed in several places around this area and Sunset Bay Club is the best yet. Highly recommend and will definitely return.   Been staying at Sunset Bay for years, stayed a few weeks back. We booked through on the beach this time and they made an error in the booking but the reception staff were so helpful and sorted the issue quickly. Apartment was lovely! Modern and clean. The room turnover was great, twice in 7 days which was enough for us. Large room with USB sockets, ceiling fan and air con in the apartment. Drinking water tap, dishwasher and great shower. We had a large balcony with a table, chairs and 2 sun loungers. Great location. I would highly recommend staying here, its great value for money.   Sad but this complex has deteriorated

  We have been coming here for over 20 years and we have always had a great time. At our check in we were told they were short of staff so rooms were taking longer to be ready. Not a problem we went had a drink. When room was ready there were no porters to help carry our bags , short staff again. Get to our room no internet connection. Due to the bad weather we were in our room more than normal, the TV didn’t keep a signal on any channel and was frustrating. Simple things but for the amount of maintenance we pay for this apartment we expect some service. Cleaning, changing beds and towels are few and far between. Pool towels only changed once a week. When comparing to hotels this complex is lacking customer service. In our opinion this complex has deteriorated a lot and very little has been done to the upkeep of the complex. What a shame the place we have loved for many years is now on our not to be repeated list.
