    A lovely stay

A very lovely, ideally place apartments close to many amenities and a nice walk to old town and beach. Very clean and spacious room. Pool a little cool but seems to be a norm I’m Portugal. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

    Receptionist terrified my child

    rating06 Oct 2019

Stayed here for a week. No problems the first couple of days. One day whilst at the pool my 4 year old was screaming at a seagul trying to chase it away out of the pool. I told my boy to stop screaming. 2 minutes later the guy on reception came out and started screaming at my 4 year old saying he was not normal as telling him to shut up. I told the manager that I had just told him off and there was no need to scream at a child like he did. He the proceeded to carry on arguing with us saying the kids had been making too much noise all holiday and that he would kick us out of the hotel if it continued. My kids were no more noisier than anyone else’s in the hotel. When we asked why he not mentioned this earlier in a non combative manner he had no reply. All this was going on at the poolside with other guests looking on. After this my 4 year old was to scared to go back in the pool for fear he would be screamed at again. I was on pins and also constantly telling my kids not to make any noise. My 4 year old was so traumatised by this that when he was asked by immigration coming home if he had a nice holiday he told the lady “ yes until the nasty man shouted at me”. This mans attitude ruined the whole holiday. other guests who were Portuguese was up all night partying and nothing was said to them about the noise. The rooms were clean but falling apart. One window when opened had the frame fall apart in my hand and the glass almost fell on my son. Would never return again. Definitive not for families if the staff can’t put up with the sound of kids having fun.

Kids were not allowed to have fun

    rating14 Aug 2019

We have just come back from staying a week here. We knew it was a case u get what you pay for but the reviews were not too bad. We arrived at 10.30 pm to no one to greet us we had to phone number to get code for keys and was left to find apartments. Had a problem with opening door but apparently there was nothing wrong with it. We were supposed to get towels changed twice a week and when we asked after 4 days what happening over clean towels was told we had them day before and when we said we never was basically called a liar and that someone will change them which they did to small towels and we never got them changed after that. There was seagulls early in morning which kept going in pool. Dogs were barking throughout night. Then on our second to last day my 4 year old nephew screamed to chase the seagulls out of pool and the manager came out and shouted at him he then approached us saying that kids screaming for 3- 4 hours a day is not normal even though he only screamed 3 times. He frightened the children who did not want to go back in pool and was scared to make a sound and then when my husband approached him to explain he then said there had been complaints all week about kids making noise in pool. And the manager above him wanted to evict us from second day because of it. Yet he never approached us all week to say about complaints even though he had no problem telling other people about complaints to them and issuing warnings etc. So don’t think anyone did complain and if they did complain about kids enjoying themselves in pool it was a sad thing to complain about. So for the last 2 days when we were by the pool we kept telling the kids to be quiet which spoilt the holiday for us. He seemed to have a problem with any people that were staying unless they were Portuguese. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The manager was rude and clocked off at 7 so there was no one there until the security guard came on at 12 so people was just doing what they wanted smoking and drinking in the pool even though pool was meant to be closed at 7. Also people were partying and coming home making loads of noise and because they were Portuguese nothing was said to them. I would advise that if you have children don’t go here as I don’t think he liked children and to shout at them and scare them is disgraceful.

    Great base

    rating10 Apr 2018

A lovely welcome and great base for our holiday. The beds were amazingly comfy and had 3 pillows on each bed!Our apartment was number 3 which looked over the pool as well as the surrounding area, it had 4 balconies and was cleaned everyday apart from Sunday. The only thing which was a disappointment was the weather! I would also like to point out the apartments are a little way from both the Old town and The Strip but the land train stop is about a 5-10 walk away and it only costs €5 for a unlimited day pass.

    Great Location!

    rating14 Jul 2017

1st time in Portugal /Albuferira,locals are friendly and welcoming, we will return. apartments now known as Roco Belmonte and have had a refurbishment.Small complex of around 20 apartments .Ours was ground level with pool view.Good size apartments with all you require including air con tho take a hair dyer! Was kept spotless by a small group of friendly and hard working maids.towels changed daily and bedding often during our 11 days stay.Great location situated between the old town (15 mins walk) and new town (10 mins walk) plus many bars and restaurants in between. 2 large supermarkets close by plus usual well know fast food outlets.Friendly reception with small bar opened 9am till 7pm,no snacks but plenty of places nearby so it's all good!☺ busy road though we got used to it,it's on a hill,we enjoyed the walking most of the time!
