  Decent 3* hotel, beautiful cliff location, but would not consider all inclusive again

  Overall decent 3 star hotel. Agree with previous comments regarding dated rooms/decor etc. Football pitch needs attention asap as it is in a bad state, also footballs that reception give to play with have seen few generations of children. It doesn't cost more than few euros to invest in new footballs, what would make a big difference in my opinion. Cannot fault staff who were friendly, whether at reception or in the dining room. Food was good, in line with 3* standards. I always enjoy meals with sea view and in this hotel this was awesome. Enough hot, cold, and desserts/fruits. Entertainment okay, but nothing spectacular. Mini disco for kids every evening, small selection of all inclusive drinks. Otherwise, you have to pay extra. As the weather was rather on bad side, we didn't use pools but they seemed nice and some people still managed to swim in freezing temperatures:) I'd wish there was more daytime entertainment for kids to keep them busy in bad weather, as apart from 1 table tennis and snooker table and mini golf outdoors, there was little to offer when rained. Maybe a small games room, and definitely more table tennis/snooker etc. The best part of the hotel is definitely its location on the cliff, with easy access to the beach. We walked up and down cliffs and to different beaches daily, rain or shine, as it was too beautiful not to be there. Overall, we stayed for 5 days AL and enjoyed as much as possible, given variable weather and beautiful scenery around the hotel. When you know what you have paid for and come with reasonable expectations, you should not be disappointed.

  Really enjoyed our stay.

  We stayed at the Auramar for 8 nights and, overall, had a very enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived, we found the hotel to be clean, welcoming, and well maintained.The only real downside for us was the food, which became quite repetitive. The same items were available every day throughout our stay.**Breakfast:** There was a good selection available, including pancakes for the kids, but the menu remained unchanged for the full 8 days.**Lunch:** We never ate lunch in the main restaurant, instead opting for the self-service bar, which offered items such as toasties, burgers, and hot dogs.**Dinner:** We found dinner to be repetitive as well. There were also some foods that I personally felt uncomfortable eating, such as chicken nuggets and other finger foods that appeared to be left out at room temperature. This is, of course, a matter of personal preference.**Staff:** The staff were outstanding throughout our stay. The children's entertainment team were fantastic and made a huge effort with all the kids. Our children loved spending time with them.A special mention must go to Axel. On the day we arrived, he was helping at reception due to how busy the hotel was. He was incredibly helpful from the start and continued to be throughout our stay. He always made time for us, and our children were delighted whenever they saw him around the hotel. I hope management recognises Axel and the entire animation team, as they truly help make the hotel experience special.**Pools:** We used all three pools during our stay. On one particularly hot day, we chose the indoor pool to keep the children out of the direct sun. All of the pools were clean, well maintained, and had plenty of sunbeds available.**Rooms:** We stayed in a family room (2 adults and 2 children). The room was spotless and cleaned daily. On day three, we noticed an issue with ants, but staff responded within minutes and treated the problem immediately. We had no further issues after that. The rooms are a little dated, but this did not bother us as cleanliness was excellent.**Location:** The hotel is in a great location, with both the Old Town and New Town approximately 10 minutes away by taxi. The hotel also operates a free shuttle service to the Old Town a couple of times each day. There is a small shop just up the road, as well as a shop on-site for convenience.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

  Don't let the bad reviews put you off!

  We stayed here as a family and had an absolutely amazing time.Yes, the hotel is fairly basic and the rooms are a little dated, but honestly, that didn't bother us at all. The only issue we experienced was a problem with flies in our room. However, after mentioning it to reception, they moved us within minutes, no questions asked, and even upgraded us to a sea-view room. The service was excellent. Other than the flies the hotel was extremely clean and tidy which we find extremely important.The staff were fantastic throughout our stay—friendly, funny, and always willing to help. A special mention goes to Nitto and Miguel from the animation team, who were absolutely brilliant. They made such a fuss of me and my family and really helped make our holiday memorable.The food isn't the hotel's strongest point, but it was perfectly acceptable and certainly didn't spoil our stay. The snack bar more than made up for it. Open from 11am–6pm, it serves burgers, pizza, hot dogs, toasties, ready made sandwiches and more, so there was always something available if you fancied a bite.The location is fantastic. The hotel has direct beach access, it's only a 10-minute walk to the strip, and around a 10-minute taxi ride to the old town. We used Bolt throughout our stay, which was much cheaper than traditional taxis—our trips to the old town cost around €3.The evening entertainment isn't the best I've seen, but the team really do try their hardest, and we had plenty of laughs. There are also lots of daytime activities for both adults and children, including competitions, water polo, volleyball, mini golf, and much more. On our last day there was a foam party, they do it every Friday which you must stick around for, it was a great way to end our holiday. The gym, sauna and steam room are also included.For anyone wondering about the all-inclusive package, all standard drinks, beer, wine and spirits are included. They do offer "cocktails of the day" as part of the package, but if you'd like a different cocktail, there is an additional charge.It was also lovely to see the mixture of people who went, young people, families, and older couples. Overall, we had the best time and would happily stay here again. Don’t let the poor reviews influence your decision.

  Nice hotel worst ever service. Been twice to Egypt and once to Gambia this year. I’ll take Egypts worst hotel over this one any day. DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL!

  We had a truly wonderful stay at Auramar Beach Resort in Albufeira, Portugal. The hotel is beautifully located with breathtaking ocean views and easy access to the beach, creating such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile, making us feel valued throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations.We especially loved the stunning sunsets, the relaxing surroundings, and the excellent facilities that made our holiday unforgettable.
