Location

We only stayed one night as was forced to change hotel due to the unhygienic conditions. Our feet were pure black, the bedding was damp, the kettle had to be on the floor as that was the only plug in kitchen, the toilet seat was broken, wasn't advertised that one of the beds is in the living room, lighting is very poor and it even took us up to 10 minutes to get into our room as the key wouldn't work and the railing on the balcony was very wobbly. It is definitely worth paying a bit more to get a decent hotel. Also the reception is on a difference premises so when we arrived on the first night we didn't know what to do as this wasn't explained prior to the visit, also when told where the other hotel was we were just told it was a 5 minute walk up the road, the whole road was full of a hotels so we weren't sure which one it was. Honestly do not stay here if you want a peaceful holiday.

When we arrived we had to check in at the sister apartments The Solmonte, no directions given ‘it is just a 3 minute walk’ The receptionist was nice and helpful. On arriving at the apartments it was very basic and cleaners only gave us clean towels twice in the week we stayed, no cleaning was done. No bar, just a pool which was nice to be fair. We eat breakfast at The Solmonte as nothing available at dos Arcos apart from a small shop. The only plus side to staying here was the beach, shops, bars and restaurants are only a 3,4 minute walk away, it did not ruin our holiday but definitely wouldn’t stay there again. I guess you get what you pay for but still expected a little more than what we got

We arrived late at night, there was no one in building to meet us. Luckily we read reviews on here to say the Solimonte was sister hotel and phoned them. Very annoyed We had many problems on our stay broken lights shutters not working, no clean towels or loo roll for 5 days. I complained twice and eventually this got sorted on our second last day but we returned back to find dirty foot prints were stamped all over my bed!!!!!! The place was so run down, I had to do the cleaning as nothing was done very annoyed!!!!!!! Will not be going back defo only a 2 star

I stayed in this hotel on my first ever holiday abroad. At that time it was a lovely hotel with a nice bar and pool. It looks as if it has not been done up in that time I t is very centeral to everything. It would be nice if it was taken over. Also the staff was lovely We had a great view watching the ships.

Was there last week you get what you pay for, it was big, clean but bed was broken and uncomfortable, great spot for everything, had a good weekIt needs a good refurbishment its a shame could make a lovely place to stay
