    Smooth check in , have stayed here before , not much changed from last visit Apartment clean and airy, very dated and at night difficult to get in as no light outside Pool area / restaurant clean enough , food and drink acceptable , need to replace a lot of sunbeds , lots brokenMy only complaint would be there policy on restaurant/pool use , at weekend a lot of locals came to restaurant/pool , took it over to be honest , big signs informing that pool use only for residents of complex , told reception and he shrugged his shoulders Was only there for a 4 day break so not a massive problem be would be put off coming back if wasnt redressed

    We visited Colina Da Lapa and stayed in one their 4 bed villas with a private pool and it was everything we needed. The resort is set in a beautiful quiet location. Car hire is essential here, as there are not many amenities close by.Portimão is 10 minutes drive, Lagoa is 5 minutes and Carvoeiro is also a quick drive. The staff are so friendly, especially the restaurant and bar staff, where we enjoyed the food and good service. Will definitely be back.

    A very pleasant one month stay. Everything you need is in the apartments including a washing machine, hair drier, iron and all the utensils you would need.I read the reviews one week before travel, and thought omg.When we opened the door to our apartment we were flabbergasted at such poor reviews.The apartments are authentic, charming and quaint.The staff particularly the house keeping and reception, are really helpful and professional I would like to mention Carolina at reception, she was really , helpful and went above and beyond in helping me contact a cycle hire shop in Portimao. Everything was fantastic from the start to the end. And would definitely stay here again.

    So having read some of the reviews I was worried about staying here. We arrived early but our apartment was ready. It was clean, bright and fresh smelling. Fully equipped kitchen, and washing machine a bonus. The down side is how far you ate from amenities. You definitely need a car. Also if you have mobility issues some apartments are reached by lots of steps. We had to go down steps to ours and then up about 35 steps to door. We didn't get to use the pool, too cold but it looked clean. Sun beds could definitely do with being replaced. All in all not a bad stay. I paid lemonade price so didn't expect champagne facilities.

    We had an apartment booked for three nights but immediately upon entering we couldn't help but notice the stale smell permeating the entire apartment. The furniture looked like it was donated from an old church. There were very few power outlets to charge personal electronics. We tried to make it comfortable and bought plug in air fresheners, which helped to an extent, and tried to stay positive and grateful but we just couldn't get comfortable, so after the first night we booked a hotel in Albufeira. The latch for the washing machine was a little broken but luckily we were able to get it opened to retrieve our laundry. Would have been really frustrated if the latch broke during our stay and then been held responsible.Also there's not much to do in the area so you're going to need a car to explore. I'd say the best part of this property is that it's near the Benagil cave, but even then it's still a 10 min drive.There's no way this place is 4 stars, it's 2 stars at most.
