    Just back from a week long stay at this little gem if a hotel. Saw some negative reviews before we went and honestly how anyone could complain is beyond me. Firstly great valueBreakfast absolutely plentiful and great variety of fruit, yogurts, cereals, eggs fried, scrambled and boiled. Cheese, meats, and an assortment of bread, roll, croissants and cake. 2 coffee machines to suit all.Pool area really relaxing . Hotel is kept spotless and staff friendly. Will definitely be backOur view of the castle was the icing on the cake.

    Just back from the most amazing stay. Location is stunning & views of the castle exceptional. The staff were friendly & accommodating. Very clean & great breakfast. Silves is stunning & in an ideal place to explore other areas of the Algarve such as Lagos & Portimao. I will most definitely be back x

    Another good visit to silves and looked after at the Colina dos mouros hotel by the very helpful staff the triple room for us three brothers was clean and spacious . This was our annual visit and always find the breakfast was varied and plentiful and the room was kept clean and towels changed daily. Will see you all again next year.

    Noisy rooms

    Booked a week, rooms noisy traffic at the front and dogs barking at the back. Also you could hear every little noise through the walls, the reason we had two rooms was we asked to be moved from our room at the front because we could hear someone snoring next door at midnight. We were moved below and out the back, room much colder and could hear dogs barking. Hotel is in a fantastic position and has loads of potential, very outdated though . breakfast is reasonable, WiFi patchy, both rooms although not damp they smelt fousty. The drinks at the bar were expensive for the area and hardly anyone seemed to use it. Would i recommend it? Maybe for a stopover one or two nights and in the warmer seasons . Lastly no kettle or fridge in the rooms so nowhere to keep water or wine cold or to make a tea or coffee
