Location

This hotel has a superb location divided from the stunning sandy beach by just a promenade and close to the town centre (500 m away). There are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, clubs, public transport and a marina all only a few metres away. Faro airport is around 25 km from the hotel.

Facility

10 suites, 14 single rooms and 289 double rooms are located on 12 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a plug adapter and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 313 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can take an invigorating dip in the outdoor pool area. There is a children's swimming area with 2 pools as well. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. A variety of activities such as cycling/mountain biking, bocce, crazy golf, golf, a putting green, archery, fishing and horse riding or, for a fee, tennis, are offered at the hotel. Water sports available at the hotel include water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, banana boat rides, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling, diving, water aerobics and aquafit. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including table tennis, billiards, darts, bowling, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym. There is a wellness area with a spa, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon and hydrotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a sauna, massage treatments and a solarium. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    The location great the whole hotel had a wonderful atmosphere the rooms are quit big . There was me and my sister and my 85year old mother the staff could not be nicer from reception to John!! At the entrance and also a young lady susana also mustaffa . Also a great pool and the beach right there . Oh I’ve almost forgotten the food it was beautiful. Sara, liz and mother .     Great hotel

    We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always had a great stay. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to the marina and also walking to the old town. The hotel and pool area were really clean and the staff were great. The breakfast selection is huge, something for everyone. We used the gym and spa facilities this year, these were good and would recommend. Already looking forward to our next stay here.     Superb hotel in excellent location

    We have just returned from a 5 night stay in this great hotel. From check in to check out we had a wonderful time. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was a dream anything you want to set you up for the day lazing round the pool and gardens. The Marina was a 10 minute stroll away where they was plenty of restaurants and bars. Will definitely return.     Down turn of th superb hotel

    We have visited thus hotel for the last 5 years, obviously we like this hotel. This year 27/4/26 to 7/5 /26 we were extremely disappointed with our stay. The restaurant , in the past the chef provided a superb menu and it was served to a very high standard. Not this year, the standard made us wonder if they actually had a chef. The staff in the restaurant rarely noticed when food had been dropped by young children, until we mentioned the safety aspect.The cleaner for our room 1008, performed her BASIC duties with a mobile phone wedged under her chin, relying on getting away with whatever she thought we would accept.After reporting this to reception the Household Manager phoned to apologise, stating the cleaner did not speak English.This is a sad situation as the staff, concierge, and at reception are very polite and helpful.     I had a two night stay here, on first glance the hotel looks very promising but when things go wrong they really do go wrong and staff have nothing at their disposal to put things right. I wish I'd read the reviews here before we booked. Staff were rude and impolite and the manager Ana is nowhere to be seen, cannot be contacted. She hides in the back office while her staff increase their level of rudeness far beyond the comments posted on here. Breakfast is fine and the rooms are clean, however there is nothing special that this hotel will offer you and it is a shame to go on holiday and have it spoiled by rude staff. Portugal in general is very hospitable but it would seem that the Crowne Plaza prefers a business clientele who just won't raise any concerns when things are not as they should be.A 2 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star hotel, nice facilities, awful staff and we can't recommend it.
