  Stayed for 4 days in October. From 6pm there is no one other than the guests in the place which we found strange, the pool bar closed by lunchtime every day of our stay. The old town is a good 20 min walk and the new strip about 10 min walk. We got a last minute deal on this holiday although we enjoyed our stay I would not book to go back to this hotel..u get what u pay for

  I stayed here for a week with my husband, who booked it based on some favourable reviews.The apartment block is set back from the main road in a quiet, residential area, behind a fully stocked supermarket. That is where the pros end!We were shown to our apartment on the ground floor by Salvatori who is very knowledgeable on the whole area of Albufeira. It is very basic. The kitchenette area has a microwave, kettle, coffee maker, fridge and 2 burner electric hob. The lounge area had two single unmade beds to sit on as setters and the dining tale and chairs were plastic patio furniture. Our patio had green chain link fencing separating us from the road. Our bathroom, although very modern and clean had a bad drainage smell emanating from it the whole time. Our bedroom consisted of 2 single beds with a wall mounted wooden box between them. The pillows had no pillow protectors between the pillow and pillowcase and they smelt of hundreds/possibly thousands of people's sweat who had slept there before us.Our first few days there were fairly quiet and undisturbed, until a family with young children were put in the room above us and you could hear everything. From footsteps on the tiled floors to things being dropped on the floor above us. The pool bar was closed for 3 days during our week long stay but there's a notice saying you cannot take your own food or alcohol to the pool area. Only water is allowed.We would definitely return to Albufeira but hopefully stay in the Old Town next time as that is a beautiful place.

  Never Again!

  Worst place we have ever stayed. The first room we were given was so dark we had to keep the lights on all the time, the ground floor balcony let no light in there were so many trees and bushes covering it, it was like sitting in a cave, we couldn't even see the sky let alone the sun! The apartment was, we were told, recently refurbished. Never seen anything like it. I think they were trying to get the shabby chic design, more like shabby mess. Whoever did the design wants shooting. The wet room flooded into the living area when used. Moved after three nights into another ground floor apartment which was twice the size of the first one and had a great balcony, at least we got the sun! The apartments are dirty and very dated. The cleaning is none existent. We stayed 10 nights and the beds and towels weren't changed once! The cleaning lady came in twice and only changed the bin liner in the bin, we were in the apartment at the time so know that she didn't do anything else. The communal areas in the block are very dark, even during the day, as there are no lights on at any time, you have to find the switch to turn them on and then they only stay on a few seconds. This could be quite dangerous for people with walking difficulties on the stairs, there is no lift. The bar/pool area shut at 6 p.m. and the door to the pool was also locked at the same time!!! There are notices up everywhere saying "shuuush". That's a joke, there is no sound proofing in the apartments, sat on loo one day and could hear someone in the apartment above us having a pee!!! The general appearance of the block inside and out is dated and needs a good overhaul. Never again would I stay here or recommend to anyone.

  The hotel is in between old and new town when we arrived the front door was locked and always is so had to wait to check-in the couple who own the hotel are pleasant when you get the key if you want air con you have to pay for it which is ridiculous lucky for us it wasn't too warm so just left Windows and balcony door open the room wasn't clean and wasn't cleaned once we were there also no fresh towels left or beds made don't know what the cleaner does but it's not cleaning also access to the pool is locked so you can't use it when you want the food and drink at the pool bar is good well cooked and the fellas who run it where great and helpful the hotel needs updating also has no night staff you have to phone if you have any problems I wouldn't stay here again

  We are just back from 10 nights at this hotel . We would NOT return there. Albefuria defenitly ,Great place .very reasonable prices for food and drink.we were lucky with the weather too .26.c mostly everyday .The only let down was the hotel .The apartment was a great size,unfortunately cleanliness was sadly lacking , not just the dated decor ,peeling wall paper ,bare wires hanging from the ceiling,the bath was patched and the kitchen cupboard had a door hanging .under the beds hadn’t seen a brush or hoover for long enough.The reception guy Salvatore loves himself and not keen on kids enjoying themselves.No fun in the pool with balls etc ,no listening to music without headphones , signs of an amogi saying shoosh.close your room door turning the key to minimise noise.The pool closes early and you are asked not be in the pool after 8 pm .The pool bar served the best lager (san Miguel) , 2.5 euros for a large beer , unfortunately they were closed by 7 pm .There is a supermarket next to the hotel that is excellent and I will use next time we go to albefuria.we are family of 2 adults and a 10 year old boy .the WiFi is free and decent but air con is extra.
