Location

This modern hotel is located over the cliffs of the beautiful 3 Castles beach, 500 meters from the centre of the fantastic Praia da Rocha, the most famous beach in the Algarve. Faro International Airport is approximately 70 km from the hotel.

Facility

2 suites and 140 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Rooms

    Hotel luar was absolutely beautiful, amazing view, lovely friendly people have already booked for next may, great location for beach, shops, restaurants all close by.     Stayed here recently for 5 nights with my 10 year old daughter. Our second time to stay. We stayed in one of the top floor suites again as having more space with a child is a huge bonus. It is worth the extra money for the large terrace and breathtaking views alone though! Our room was spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. My daughter loves the pool here. It's huge so plenty of space for her to play and not disturb anyone else. No problem getting a sunbed any day either. The pool bar has an excellent choice of food - special mention for the caesar salad which is absolutely delicious and the slushies for kids. Excellent service and attentiveness from the two ladies we met working in the bar. I'm sorry I didn't get their names to be able to send them a direct compliment. Breakfast had a wide choice of cold and hot food and suited us perfectly. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and quick to clean tables and replenish food.The location of this hotel is also excellent. A very leisurely stroll from the back gate and you're right in the middle of town with the beach right on your doorstep also. Some great restaurants right beside the hotel too.All the staff on reception are also very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for another brilliant stay. My daughter is already talking about next May when we come back again!     This was my 4th time to the Luar hotel and it didn't disappoint again. The staff are friendly and inside and around the pool area are kept spotless. The hotel is situated just 200mtrs from restaurants and shops and overlooks the beach.Just returned after spending 12 nights there and have already booked for Sept Joao Gomes, Diretor-Geral at Hotel Luar, responded to this review A massive thank you from all the team! Spending 12 nights with us is great, but knowing you are already locked in for September is even better.     A lovely, quiet stay, just right for our little family.

    We've had a wonderful stay here. When we first arrived it was late at night, and we were disappointed with our room, as we thought we had booked an ocean view, the hotel very quickly rectified this for us the next morning and upgraded us to a larger room with a fantastic view over the pool and the ocean, for a small increase in room rate. The hotel was quiet, which we loved, breakfast was more than enough to choose from, our room was clean and comfortable although we didn't spend much time in the room, if we were there we sat on the balcony. Our son loved swimming in the pool. The staff were helpful, warm and courteous. Will be booking again, the next time we visit.     What a little gem of a hotel. we've been a few times now and can't fault it..the location is perfect..close to the stip but far enough away for peace and the view is to die for. All the staff are lovely and friendly. The hotel is spotless clean..dont expect luxury ..its a little dated..but its perfect 👌breakfast is basic but absolutely decent...we will be back!
