    I love this place ,staff brilliant, they go out there way to make you comfortable, hotel bus goes into beach and Portimio ,twice aday ,the location is near shops ,

    Items stolen from my suitcase in the luggage store!

    Arrived at around 11:30 and couldn't check in so was told to leave my suitcase in the luggage store. Came back a few hours later to find my suitcase had been opened and my aftershave and prescription medication had been stolen. Complained to reception who did nothing and said they have no CCTV on or in the luggage store. Poor start to my holiday!!!

    Lovely hotel. We go on holiday 3 times per year however usually all inclusive. This is our 1st time self catering with the kids.The hotel is lovely, modern and clean. We were really impressed with it. Not much for the kids but we spent most time at the beach.The hotel is further away from shops and restaurants as I expected. The walk down to the front isnt pushchair or wheelchair friendly. We made it down with the pushchair but it was very off roading! We got a taxi back to the hotel every day so that can add up over the holiday.We have never been to Portugal but we love it now. Definitely recommended Zoomarina, this was fantastic for the kids, we were off season so it was cheaper. Do not pay for a local taxi, it was 35-40 euros with them however Uber was 14.

    Great Apartments for walking cycling and enjoying the beach

    The only downside is walking for people to beach and restaurants.thankfully We enjoy walking .great apartment in room 205 clean tidy staff great cleaned every day fresh towels .Bar and restaurant pretty good .Bus stop outside for Portimão and Alvor. Very cheap takes cash number 14 bus.Easy walk to Lidl for shopping take right fork turning right from hotel ,take left fork in front of big blue triangle hotel to beach about 1.2 mile walk WiFi very stable.Tv has English Channel Can’t fault for price paid would stay again

    Apart from the neighbours cockerel crowing at 4 am ……

    6 th floor apartment in the block across road from main reception building. Overlooking the very pleasant park/ play area, lovely cafe, small lake, peacocks, in beautiful little wooded area about 2 mins walk away, other side of play area.Apartment was large, basic but extremely clean ( and I’m a right fuss- pot!) Comfortable bed, staff did just the right amount of servicing - changed towels, emptied bins daily. Ancient microwave ( but worked), fridge, kettle and 2 ring hob. Bare minimum of cooking utensils ( only 1 small prep knife apart from usual cutlery, we bought another sharp knife). Only 1 tea towel for whole week. No washing up items provided . But you can see Lidl from balcony , so very near to everything. 5 mins drive ( 15 min walk ) to Portimão centre, so great location, on a quiet smart street. Having Chrons, difficult for me to eat out, so we managed to self - cater for whole week, fresh fish from the amazing fish market every nite, cooked on our 2 rings, eaten on the balcony. BUT, a bit of a spoiler, if your in back of building ( we were room 624) , the neighbouring villa only about 200 metres away ( building right next door ) has cockerels that crow all day , starting at 4am, think he had 3 of them. And he had 2 dogs that were out at nite,occasionally barking in the nite. You could look right down into chicken shed from balcony. We heard our neighbouring room swearing at the cockerel noise !!! So you may have disturbed sleep ( I went and bought ear plugs, didn’t quite drown noise ). Was surprised allowed cockerels in such a built- up area. But if heavy sleepers, the location, cleanliness and nice area may outweigh the noise. Didn’t use pool- area was smaller than it looked, and sunbeds all full when I looked. No sun umbrellas either . Lovely bar/ lounge - very smart, very good drinks prices. So- apartment very good, pets noise ( and I have chickens myself at home ) , not sogood.Also the balcony is wooden , great when you’re standing up, sit down - can’t see anything, just dark brown slats.
