    A wonderful New Year's Eve in Monte Gordo

    We've being going to altura Portugal every year, sometimes twice a year since 1992. Unfortunately there was no accommodation available in our usual apartment which is great or anywhere in fact for the end of Dec. So we booked an apartment in your hotel in Monte Gordo on the recommendation of my daughter who had stayed there with her family a couple of years ago. It didn't disappoint. We know Monte Gordo well having visited it many times over the years but had never stayed there. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, spacious and bright. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar at night was a great asset. We had a night cap on three of our 4 nights stay 28th Dec to 1st Jan. The breakfast had everything and very plentiful. Its very central.. a short walk to shops, restaurants and beach. We would consider staying there again in July but because it's summer it might work out expensive. It was very reasonably priced on our visit and car park was free. But as you have to pay from the 1st of June that is another thing to consider. But overall I would highly recommend this hotel and I hope to stay there again in the future.

    Nice stay overall, but a few things could be improved

    We had a pleasant stay at this hotel.The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent, lots of fresh options and good coffee, which made mornings really enjoyable.The pool area was clean and relaxing, but the pool itself is quite small and it was a bit disappointing that the roof was closed even on a 30 degrees day. It would have been great to enjoy some sun while swimming.The entrance could use a redesign, it feels a bit awkward and doesn’t really match the rest of the hotel’s interior.Overall, though, it’s a comfortable and well-kept place and I’d stay again for the great breakfast and friendly atmosphere.

    My husband and I stayed here for four nights and although staff were nice and helpful the cleaning staff did not change the bed sheets once. The bathroom was not cleaned to a high standard and used cups and plates we left in the room were never removed. On a positive note when we asked for a kettle it was given, they allowed us to check in earlier than the original check in time and also allowed us a late check out time. We slept very well and breakfast was decent. Overall I would recommend this hotel as somewhere to stay.

    Pleasantly Surprised: Great Value and Comfort with Excellent Dinner Buffet

    Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by this stay. While it wasn’t the cheapest option, and you might find more affordable alternatives by directly renting a place, it's simply not worth the extra hassle. The hotel was clean and cozy, with friendly staff and plenty of parking. The dinner buffet, in particular, was excellent value for money. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation.

    Great location a 5/10 min walk to the shops, bars and restaurant's. we stayed in one of the apartments with a lovely balcony where you could sit out and enjoy breakfast and a coffee, rooms where nice and beds where comfortable, the staff where very nice always greeted with a smile.
