Location

This hotel is located in the resort of Praia Verde, surrounded by a vast area of pine forest, which lies above one of the most beautiful beaches on the Eastern Algarve. Guests will find restaurants, bars and the sandy beach only 500 m away and the centre of Vila Real is only 7 km from the accommodation. It is 4 km to Monte Gordo, where there is a casino. Situated near to the border with Spain, it only takes 15 min to get to Ayamonte (Spain). Faro Airport is 55 km away.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 2-storey building with a lift and 40 suites. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a car hire service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycle storage is available to guests. There is a bike hire service as well.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 40 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. A variety of refreshing drinks await guests at the pool bar. Those who would like to stay active while on holiday can make use of the on-site facilities, including golf, a gym and hiking or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking, windsurfing and massage treatments. In addition, windsurfing is offered by third-party operators. A kids' club and a dance club are also options for entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a breakfast room and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

It was a fabulous weekend, with exceptional service from the staff who went beyond expectations to make us, and our guests, feel special.     Totally top of class experience was given by the Octant staff. So welcoming and friendly, was the best customer experience I have received in a very long time!     Mini forest /ocean paradise!

    What a delightful spot! Ahead of arrival wasn't certain, as I thought I might prefer more 'direct ocean', but I was instantly converted...the twinkling lights in the forest are somehow 'cozy' (and protect from the wind), yet the beach is so close.The welcome (and pre arrival email) was as warm and professional as I've ever encountered, as well as genuinely thoughtful about anticipating what I might want during my stay. The room was beautiful - totally quiet, spacious and elegant, extremely well appointed. The gym is very well equipped - a bit tight on space but would feel larger with the giant sliding doors open to the balcony in warmer weather I expect!Again, I can't say enough good things about the staff here...unobtrusive, but every request handled very promptly.My only regret is not staying longer!     Everything about thsi hotel is awful. just awful.I would think very hard about coming to this hotel.The worst service you will ever receive.     Had a very comfortable stay at Octant Praia Verde. The staff was warm and welcoming. Rooms were big and the service was impeccable. Their breakfast spread is excellent with a lot of options to explore for all diet preferences. This property is at a walkable distance from the beautiful Verde beach.Had a very good stay.
