Location

This exclusive luxury-class hotel complex is surrounded by wonderfully-maintained gardens and lies above cliff-lined Praia dos Três Irmãos bay. The 7 kilometre-long fine sand beach can be reached by descending a flight of stairs and it is 1 km to the centre of Alvor, which features countless shopping and entertainment venues and to which there is a regular bus service. It is well worth paying a visit to Portimao that lies about 5 km away; Faro international airport is about 70 km away.

Facility

19 suites and 178 double rooms are available to guests in a 6-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift.     Excellent hotel and facilities but even more praise for the chefs and restaurant staff for catering so well for one of our group who was coeliac. We highlighted this with reception on arrival and the chef had been notified ahead of our first meal. At each meal the restaurant staff highlighted which of the abundant buffet options would be suitable and when selected the choices were prepared separately in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination including salads/sides and fruit etc. Portions were generous and beautifully presented.     I have to say our stay in Pestana was excellent however what really made it exceptional were the staff and in particular Rui Eustaquio. He was exemplary in every way throughout our stay which made such a big difference. I also observed him being equally helpful to all the other guests and staff.     Amazing Staff

    We have not even been at this resort for 24 hours yet and it has already exceeded any expectations we had…the hotel is beautiful with amazing food, pianist playing at breakfast was a first for us ! We checked in to our lovely room and this morning asked if we could move to a sea view room, Pedro on the front desk went above and beyond to assist us , moved us to a room with a sea view , so far we can fault this wonderful place I’m sure an even better review will come when we leave Wonderful!!     A really good hotel.Location is the best.Had a sea view room in previous time share block.Food is very good. Breakfast excellent variety and quality.The rooms are tired however and need an upgrade.So nearly great. Will be back and be on the watch to see if upgraded.
