Location

The Algarve, which is Portugal's southernmost province, is a coastal region of outstanding natural beauty, noted for the friendliness of its people, its mild climate, which is ideal for all-year-round outdoor sports, and its long golden beaches where guests can expect more than 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. This resort is superbly located on a level plateau, close to the picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro. The resort is moreover located just 5 km from the best beaches in the Algarve: Caneiros, Ferragudo, Carvoeiro and Marinha. Faro Airport is approximately 45 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 250 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. The grounds of the apartment hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a stovetop, a microwave, a tea/coffee station and a dishwasher. Further amenities include a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

There are indoor and outdoor pools and a children's swimming area. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. A variety of activities are available at the hotel, for example cycling/mountain biking, tennis and basketball or, for a fee, golf and horse riding. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a beauty salon. Subject to charge: massage treatments. A casino offers fun and entertainment.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch, guests can choose between a buffet and à la carte. Dinner options include à la carte and a set menu.

    The residences are great value, well appointed apartments, managed by incredibly friendly and helpful staff. There is now a bar restaurant, good value and nice food. Free shuttle to Gramacho and Pinta courses

    We had a wonderful stay here in the interim period between Christmas and new year. Quick and easy checkin. Very pleasant staff. Room was clean and fresh. A little bit basic but absolutely fine. My only very slight gripe was that the water was not very hot. Very happy with our stay and am looking to return. Very isolated - which was lovely as really nice and quiet- but you do need a car. We didn’t eat at the hotel as we played golf each day and ate at their clubhouse.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Pestana Gramacho Residences.For three consecutive nights there was no running water in my room — no shower, no sink, and not even the toilet flush. On two occasions, I was forced to use the swimming pool late at night just to wash myself, which is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this category.In addition, my room went three days without any cleaning service. Only after I went to the reception personally did they remove the garbage and provide fresh towels.I also tried several times to contact the hotel by written messages, but never received a reply. The lack of communication, combined with such basic service failures, made the stay extremely unpleasant.This experience was far below the standards expected from the Pestana brand. I cannot recommend this property until serious improvements are made.

    Fantastic value as always, and now they are opening a bar restaurant in the premises making things even better. The free shuttle between the accommodation and Gramacho and Pinta courses is so valuable. Staff incredible as always, there isn’t a better value golf package available, and i travel toEurope to play golf 6 times a year, twice a year to here. all the courses are in great condition, there is another on the way, construction almost finished expected to open for bookings spring 2026. Cant recommend the residences and Pestana high enough

    I stayed here recently on a short golfing holiday with my son. The staff were all very pleasant and informative, and the hotel and rooms were all very clean. The rooms, although not luxurious, have everything you need whilst on holiday, including a kitchen if you feel like cooking. The resort is very quiet but a little remote if you like to go out in the evening and a car is essential, although a 10 euro uber taxi will get you into Carvoeiro.
